Jones has appeared in just nine games for the Yankees this season, going 1-for-6 with one run and four strikeouts.

Jones has remained on the big-league roster throughout the campaign, but he's made just one start, functioning almost exclusively as a pinch runner or defensive replacement. The 26-year-old's speed and defensive versatility make him useful in those roles, though his ability to remain with the big club may be more strongly tied to the fact that he's out of minor-league options. It's difficult to envision Jones becoming a viable fantasy asset given his very limited work and his career .178/.229/.451 slash line as a major-leaguer.

Berti (groin/back) is back in the lineup with Double-A Somerset on Thursday as he resumes his rehab assignment, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Berti couldn't play Wednesday due to a back issue but is back in there following a one-day absence. He's coming back from a groin strain and should rejoin the Yankees within the next few days.

Wade went 1-for-4 with two runs and a stolen base in Wednesday's 6-2 victory against the Reds.

Wade got a start at second base in place of the resting Xander Bogaerts and scored two of San Diego's six runs. The veteran began the campaign logging regular time at third base due to Manny Machado being relegated to DH duties following offseason shoulder surgery, but Machado has since returned to playing the field, cutting into both Wade's and Eguy Rosario's playing time. Wade is batting just .230 over 71 plate appearances, but he's stolen five bags and posted a useful 11.6 percent walk rate.

Lipscomb is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Rangers.

Lipscomb had made six straight starts at third base, but he'll give way to Ildemaro Vargas at the hot corner Thursday. The rookie infielder is slashing .267/.325/.320 in 22 contests thus far at the major-league level.

Urias is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

Though he's seen his playing time in the infield pick up of late after second baseman Jackson Holliday was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk last Friday, Urias will head to the bench Thursday after starting at third base in three of the previous four games. Jordan Westburg will occupy the hot corner Thursday, opening up a spot at the keystone for Jorge Mateo.

Rivera will start at third base and bat eighth in Thursday's game against the Rockies, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Rivera will be awarded a sixth consecutive start after he went 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored in Wednesday's 4-1 win. Each of his past four starts have come at third base, and he'll continue to vie with Vidal Brujan for playing time at the position until Jake Burger (oblique) is cleared to return from the 10-day injured list. Burger began a rehab assignment Wednesday, and it's possible that he'll be ready to join the Marlins at some point during their six-game West Coast road trip that begins Friday in Oakland.

Riley went 2-for-4 with a walk, a triple, a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Mariners.

That's now five hits in the last four games for Riley, while Wednesday's three-bagger was his first extra-base hit since April 17. The third baseman is slashing a disappointing .235/.311/.387 through 29 contests with two homers and 16 RBI, but he still sports an 89th percentile barrel rate and 85th percentile hard-hit rate on the season, and there's little cause for worry about his slow first month.

Toro went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Pirates.

Getting the start at second base and batting fifth, Toro launched a second-inning Quinn Priester sinker up in the zone off the top of the wall in center field. Toro has hit safely in six straight games, and he's making a case to be an everyday player for Oakland -- through 99 plate appearances, he's slashing .264/.323/.440 with three homers, 11 RBI and 11 runs. He's played at least three games at first base, second base and third base so far in 2024 in addition to spotting in at DH, and while Ryan Noda's demotion to Triple-A after Wednesday's game likely has more to do with J.D. Davis (thigh) being nearly ready to come off the IL, it does give Toro a little less competition for playing time.

Nevin went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Pirates.

The 26-year-old took Quinn Priester deep in the third inning, extending an impressive stretch that has seen Nevin record four straight multi-hit performances as part of a nine-game hitting streak. He's left the yard four times during the heater, accounting for all of his homers on the season, and since joining Oakland at the beginning of April he's slashed .325/.375/.500 in 88 plate appearances with 10 runs and 10 RBI. Nevin posted consistently solid numbers in the minors but never got much of an opportunity in Baltimore, and he stumbled with Detroit in 2023. If this is his last chance to establish himself as a big-league player, he seems to be making the most of it.

Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a stolen base during Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Orioles.

Cabrera tagged Corbin Burnes for a two-run shot in the fifth inning, plating Jose Trevino for the Yankees' only runs. The long ball was Cabrera's first since April 13. His two hits were his first of the series, entering Wednesday's contest 0-for-7 in the first two games of the four-game bill. Through 110 plate appearances, Cabrera is slashing .262/.300/.417 with 18 RBI and two stolen bases.
