The Pirates optioned Brannigan to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday.

Brannigan struck out in his lone plate appearance after getting called up from Triple-A on Tuesday, and he'll now return to the minors in order to make room for new acquisition Jacob Gonzalez. Brannigan, 25, has slashed .219/.341/.478 in 213 plate appearances across all five levels of Pittsburgh's farm system this season.

Mets interim manager Andy Green said Saturday that Bichette is dealing with soreness in his legs and his right ankle, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Bichette's soreness helps to explain why he has been left out of the starting lineup since the Mets began their series against Boston. Green noted that Bichette is available off the bench, but the 28-year-old infielder may also sit out Sunday's game to give him more time to fully "reset" ahead of the second half. If that ends up being the case, Zack Short would be likely to pick up another start in the infield.

Bichette isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox.

Bichette will step out of the lineup for a second consecutive game after not missing a game this season prior to Friday. Brett Baty will slide over to third base while Bichette sits, opening up second base for Zack Short.

Keith went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-2 win over the Phillies.

Keith is off to a nice start in the power department this month, as he now has three home runs in seven July games. Overall, the 24-year-old has tallied all eight of his long balls this season in his last 23 contests after failing to go deep over his first 62 games of the year. Keith is building some momentum heading into the second half and starting to emerge as a useful fantasy asset due to his ability to leave the yard.

Karros went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Friday's 4-3 win over the Giants.

Karros' two-run single in the eighth inning put the Rockies ahead 3-2. The third baseman has hit well so far in July, going 12-for-37 (.324) over 10 games this month. He's now batting .267 with an .802 OPS, eight home runs, 33 RBI, 46 runs scored, 18 doubles, two triples and three stolen bases over 91 contests this year.

Vargas went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, three total RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 14-1 win over the Athletics.

Even though Tristan Peters grabbed all the headlines after hitting for the cycle, Vargas was locked in at the plate as well and racked up eight total bases. The star third baseman snapped a five-game homer drought with his solo shot in the eighth inning off Carlos Cortes, and he has 21 on the year. He ranks third among all AL third basemen in homers this season behind Junior Caminero (28) and Kazuma Okamoto (22).

Okamoto went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's 5-3 win over the Padres.

Okamoto has three homers and eight RBI over his last four games. The third baseman has often collected his homers in bunches this season, and he's up to 22 on the year. He's batting .238 with a .786 OPS, 62 RBI, 49 runs scored, 11 doubles and no stolen bases through 91 contests in a near-everyday role.

Caminero went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, a walk and an additional run scored in Friday's 7-2 win over the Mariners.

Caminero went yard for a second straight game, and the star third baseman extended his impressive power stretch -- he's launched five homers in 10 games since the beginning of July and 13 over his last 17. Caminero now has 28 homers on the year and is hitting .280 with a .927 OPS across 92 games.

Baty went 3-for-4 with a steal, a solo home run and an additional run scored during the Mets' 6-2 loss to the Red Sox on Friday.

Baty made Friday's score look a little more respectable for the Mets by belting a solo home run in the ninth inning, his fourth long ball of the season and first since May 18 against the Nationals. His three hits were a season high and his most in a game since Sept. 17, 2025. Baty's hitting streak is up to 10 games, during which he has gone 13-for-38 (.342) with two steals, five RBI, five extra-base hits and eight runs scored.

Alexander went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during the Orioles' 5-3 win over the Royals on Friday.

Alexander scored on a Gunnar Henderson RBI single in the second inning, with the former tacking on a solo homer in the fourth inning to give Baltimore a 3-2 lead. It was the fourth home run of the season for Alexander and his first long ball since June 21 against the Dodgers. He has gone 8-for-26 (.308) with one steal, three RBI and five runs scored over his last seven games.
