McMahon, 21, is batting .233/.331/.325 over 144 plate appearances at Double-A Hartford this season.

Power has been McMahon's calling card through his previous three stops in the minors, but he's shown precious little in that regard since moving to Double-A this season. He has yet to hit a home run, and his slugging percentage is down 150 points compared to what he posted at High-A Modesto in 2015. McMahon has at least gone a perfect 7-for-7 on stolen-base attempts, but he'll need to start cranking out extra-base hits in order for the Rockies to feel more positive about his development.

Valencia went 2-for-5 on Tuesday night against the the Rangers and smashed his sixth homer of the season.

Valencia stayed hot on Tuesday and now has six homers in his last five games. Since returning from the DL on May 7, Valencia is hitting .414 over eight games with an absurd 1.468 OPS.

Moustakas (thumb) is beginning a rehab assignment with Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Wednesday.

He is in the lineup for the Naturals on Wednesday, and remains on track to join the Royals this weekend if everything goes well during his rehab assignment. Cheslor Cuthbert will continue to see starts at the hot corner over the coming days, but his time as a regular appears to be winding down.

Duffy (hamstring) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.

It seems the decision to hold Duffy out Sunday was largely precautionary, as he's set to return Tuesday after missing just the one start. Duffy was used as a defensive replacement in Sunday's game. He will man third base and bat third against right-hander Colin Rea.

Reynolds is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Nationals.

After David Wright (back) was scratched from the lineup, Reynolds got the green light to enter the lineup and make his major league debut. He'll fill in at third base and bat ninth, although he faces a tough test in Max Scherzer, who struck out 20 batters in his previous start, which could spoil the 25-year-old's debut.

Moustakas (thumb) could rejoin the Royals on Saturday, MLB.com's Jeffrey Flanagan reports.

Moustakas was handed a 2-to-3 week return timetable when he landed on the disabled list earlier this month, and it looks like there is a good chance he will return around the lower end of that estimate. Moustakas could head out on a rehab assignment before being activated from the DL, but even if he does, it does not figure to be a long stint with one of the Royals' minor league affiliates.

Alvarez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

The Orioles will go with a primarily right-handed lineup Tuesday as they'll be facing southpaw Wade Miley and the Mariners. As such, Paul Janish will take over at third base for Alvarez Tuesday. That said, Alvarez had maden four straight starts prior to Tuesday's day off, so he could very well draw back into the lineup at DH or third base for Wednesday's contest.

Rendon has been dropped from second to sixth in the Nationals' batting order for Tuesday's game against the Mets, CSN's Mark Zuckerman reports.

Rendon has hit almost exclusively in the two hole for the Nationals this year, but he is still struggling to get much going with the bat, so manager Dusty Baker decided to swap him and Jayson Werth in the order for at least a night. Rendon will have a tough task Tuesday facing Mets ace Noah Syndergaard, but for what it's worth, he does have three hits in seven career at-bats against him.

Muncy was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

With Josh Phegley headed to the disabled list, the A's were in need of a good bat off the bench, and that's exactly what Muncy can offer. He's played well with the Sounds so far this season, posting an .858 OPS with six home runs and 15 RBI, and even swiped three bases to boot, so although he'll likely have a limited role as a reserve, he could force Oakland's hand if he can translate those numbers to the big leagues.

Reynolds was recalled by the Mets on Tuesday but he is not in the lineup for New York's matchup against Washington.

The Mets add some infield depth with the addition of Reynolds to the active roster. The 25-year-old slashed .238/.303/.369 at Triple-A Las Vegas prior to his call-up Tuesday. Although he's not in the lineup Tuesday, Wilmer Flores' absence due to a hamstring injury ought to lead to some appearances for Reynolds in the near future. Sean Gilmartin was optioned in a corresponding move to promote Reynolds.
