Duffy (hamstring) believes he'll avoid a stint on the disabled list but could be out a couple days, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Duffy left Tuesday's win over the Royals with hamstring tightness and was replaced by Daniel Robertson. Carlos Gomez (groin) also exited Tuesday's game, which could force the Rays to make a move if both players are unavailable for a stretch.

Duffy was replaced by Daniel Robertson at third base in the bottom of the fifth inning, but the Rays described it a precautionary move. Duffy should be considered day-to-day for now, with Robertson likely to be the beneficiary should Duffy be held out of the lineup.

Farmer was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

The return of Justin Turner (wrist) spelled the end of Farmer's tenure on the big-league roster. Farmer made 14 starts in the six weeks Turner was out and was frequently used as a pinch hitter, totaling 14 hits in 69 plate appearances (.230 average). He figures to get another chance in a reserve role later this season.

Anderson (finger) is in the lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Anderson exited Sunday's game with a sore finger. The issue was evidently a minor one, as he won't end up missing a single start.

Alvarez (hamstring) is hitting eighth as the designated hitter Tuesday against the Phillies, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Alvarez is good to go after missing the last four games with a hamstring issue. The 31-year-old, who is hitting .200/.304/.488 with seven homers through 92 plate appearances this season, will face Nick Pivetta in his first game back.

Moncada (hamstring) was activated from the 10-day disabled list Tuesday.

Moncada ended up needing just the minimum 10-day stay on the disabled list. Prior to his injury, he was managing to overcome the highest strikeout rate in the league among qualified hitters (37.1 percent) to post a very solid .263/.359/.509 line, thanks largely to the second-highest hard-hit rate in the league (51.5 percent). It's hardly a surprising combination for the young second baseman, but which aspect of his game wins out in the end remains to be seen. Jose Rondon was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday in a corresponding move.

Asuaje was recalled from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Asuaje was sent down Monday but wasn't even down long enough to make a minor-league appearance before being called back up to replace the injured Joey Lucchesi (hip). Despite the promotion, he's clearly fallen out of favor after opening the season as the Padres' primary second baseman and will likely continue to serve as a bench player.

Candelario is on the disabled list merely to rehab his left wrist and not to undergo surgery, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Candelario is battling left wrist tendinitis and has been for some time. An MRI taken Sunday revealed that he'll have to undergo offseason surgery, but for now, he's just getting some time off to rest and rehab. The Tigers believe that Candelario could be ready to go sooner than the minimum requirement of 10 days off, but with Nick Castellanos also day-to-day after being hit in the hand by a pitch, the team couldn't afford to play too shorthanded.

Duffy went 3-for-4 with a pair of run-scoring singles in a win over the Royals on Monday. He was also caught stealing twice.

Duffy essentially was the Rays' offense Monday, plating C.J. Cron in the first with a timely single and then snapping a 1-1 tie with another well-placed hit that brought home Adeiny Hechavarria. The latter run turned out to be the difference in the game, and the performance extended what has been a torrid stretch for Duffy. Factoring in Monday's production, he's now gone for multiple hits in six of the last nine games on his way to a .349 average over 11 May contests.

Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Devers went yard against left-hander Sean Manaea, the third homer he's hit off a southpaw this season. It looks like left-handers are catching up to him. He pummeled them for a .400 average (20-for-50) last year, but that has dropped to .233 here in 2018. Still, it wasn't bad enough for manager Alex Cora to hold him out against Manaea on Monday.
