LeMahieu went 3-for-5 and scored a run in the Yankees' win over Boston on Friday.

LeMahieu registered his second multi-hit effort of the season Friday and has notched at least one hit in each of his first five games. Overall, he is hitting .455 (10-for-22) with three RBI and four runs scored.

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Twins.

The good version of Ramirez has shown up to begin 2020. Through eight games, the 27-year-old is hitting .429 (12-for-28) with two homers, five RBI, seven runs and one steal, and his 5:7 BB:K is more in line with his huge 2018 performance than last year's uneven effort.

Urshela went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's win against the Red Sox.

Urshela blasted his first home run of the season to lead off the fourth inning of the 5-1 win. The 28-year-old hadn't been particularly effective at the plate prior to Friday's performance, but he's now hitting .211 with two extra-base hits and one RBI over his first six games this year.

Donaldson (calf) isn't believed to have a serious injury after he left Friday's win against Cleveland, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Although Donaldson was forced out of Friday's game with right calf tightness, manager Rocco Baldelli said after the game that the training staff doesn't think that it will be a long-term issue. The 34-year-old has battled calf issues in the past, so the team should continue to monitor the injury, but it doesn't sound as though Donaldson will miss much time as a result.

Donaldson left Friday's game against Cleveland with right calf tightness, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Donaldson was pinch hit for early in Friday's game, and the team revealed that he was removed due to a calf issue. The exact severity of the injury is unclear, but the third baseman is considered day-to-day. Donaldson has gone 4-for-22 with one home run to begin the season.

Madrigal is starting at second base and batting ninth in his major-league debut Friday against the Royals.

The 23-year-old had his contract purchased by the White Sox earlier Friday, and he'll immediately replace Leury Garcia in the starting lineup. Madrigal began 2019 at High-A Winston Salem but he finished the season at Triple-A Charlotte with a .331/.398/.424 slash line. He totaled 35 stolen bases in 120 minor-league games last season, though only four of those steals came during his time at Triple-A. Madrigal should have the chance to secure an everyday spot in the lineup, pushing Garcia to a utility role.

Candelario is not in the lineup Friday against the Reds.

Candelario sits for the third time in the season's first eight games. He's gone hitless in 17 at-bats so far, striking out nine times, hardly helping his case for an everyday role. Harold Castro gets the nod at third base in his absence.

Madrigal's contract was purchased by the White Sox on Friday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Madrigal wasn't deemed big-league ready on Opening Day but is considered ready to go just one week later, immediately after the White Sox secured an extra year of control on his contract. The 2018 fourth-overall pick has almost no power, homering just four times in 163 career minor-league games, but he's a remarkable contact hitter, posting a .309 batting average and a 3.0 percent strikeout rate as a professional. He's also stolen 43 bases in 62 attempts. He should get the chance to carve out an everyday role at second base, where Leury Garcia seems to be nothing more than a placeholder.

Kieboom went 2-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Blue Jays.

Making his second career start at third base, Kieboom appeared to be fully recovered from the minor groin tweak that was bothering him to begin the season and restricted him in the field. The 22-year-old is still looking for his first extra-base hit of 2020, but Kieboom has gone 4-for-9 with a strong 3:3 BB:K through three games. Now that he's healthy, expect him to settle in as the Nats' starting third baseman.

Longoria (oblique) went 1-for-4 with a sacrifice fly in Thursday's 12-7 loss to the Padres.

Longoria's sacrifice fly scored Mike Yastrzemski in the fifth inning to get the Giants on the board. Longoria also had a pair of strikeouts in his season debut. The 34-year-old figures to see the majority of the playing time at third base, though he could also DH on occasion.
