Chapman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Chapman's lone hit of the game was a fourth-inning solo homer that tied the game 2-2. The long ball was his fifth this season and first in the month of May. Chapman is off to a slow start this season with a .204/.313/.407 slash line, though he does have five home runs and 14 RBI.

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's win over the Royals.

Ramirez launched his ninth long ball of the season off Jakob Junis, and the slugging third baseman has connected five of his nine homers over his last nine games. He's hitting .354 while recording at least one knock in all but one of those appearances during that aforementioned nine-game span.

Muncy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, two runs scored and two RBI on Wednesday against the Cubs.

Muncy took Adbert Alzolay deep in the fourth inning for his fifth home run of the season. He clubbed another extra-base hit in the 10th inning to drive in his second run of the contest and temporarily gave the Dodgers a 4-3 lead. Though his power production has been sporadic early on, Muncy has gotten on base at a .432 clip and has 18 runs scored to to along with 14 RBI across 128 plate appearances.

Candelario went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and three runs scored in Wednesday's 6-5, extra-inning win over the Red Sox.

Candelario was having a fine game through nine innings but he made it memorable in the top of the 10th, when he launched a go-ahead, three-run home run to break a 3-3 tie. While the Tigers are batting just .202 as a team during their 9-22 start, Candelario has been much better, batting a team-high .284 with three home runs and 11 RBI. The counting stats aren't eye-popping, but the 27-year-old at least looks like Detroit's most reliable offensive contributor this season.

Rendon (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The 30-year-old had an MRI come back clean Wednesday, but he'll still be sidelined for the next week-plus with a left knee contusion after fouling a ball off his leg Monday. Rendon will be eligible to return May 14, though it's unclear if he's expected to be healthy by that point. Jose Rojas and Phil Gosselin are options at third base for the Halos in the meantime.

Hayes (wrist/hand) continues to swing in the batting cage and could begin swinging on the field by the end of the week, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

The 24-year-old isn't experiencing any soreness as he continues to swing, so he should keep advancing through the hitting program. Hayes is expected to get some at-bats on a rehab assignment before returning from the injured list, though the team has yet to finalized any plans.

Toro was placed on the minor-league injured list Wednesday with a right oblique strain, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Toro was optioned to the alternate training site in late April, and it's not yet clear how much time he'll miss due to his injury. Once he's healthy, Toro will likely report to Triple-A Sugar Land.

Maton will pick up his 16th straight start Wednesday, manning second base while batting seventh against the Brewers, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Maton's run as the Phillies' everyday second baseman will likely be coming to an end soon; per Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Jean Segura (quadriceps) is playing in a second straight rehab game at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, and he could be activated from the 10-day injured list as soon as Thursday. Segura's return won't necessarily close the door on Maton filling a regular role with the big club, as the rookie has recently began taking reps in center field during batting practices, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic. Not only has center field been a black hole for the Phillies this season in terms of offensive production, but the team is running out of options at the position. Adam Haseley (personal) is on the restricted list, Roman Quinn (finger) is on the injured list and Bryce Harper (wrist) is day-to-day. During his run as a regular in the Phillies lineup, Maton is slashing .327/.363/.423.

Machado isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Machado has gone hitless with a run, two walks and four strikeouts in his last 10 at-bats. Ha-Seong Kim will start at third base and bat seventh.

Devers (shoulder) will start at third base and bat fifth Wednesday against the Tigers, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Devers checks back into the starting nine after he was held out of Tuesday's 11-7 win with a sore right shoulder. He'll step in against Tigers right-hander Casey Mize, who has surrendered five home runs across his last three starts.
