Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the A's.

His seventh-inning blast off Chris Bassitt brought the Red Sox within a run, but it was the last gasp of offense for his squad. Devers has gone yard twice in the last three games, giving him nine homers on the year to go with a strong .280/.361/.576 slash line.

Senzel went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Tuesday's 7-2 loss to the Pirates.

The move back to second base seems to be agreeing with Senzel. The 25-year-old has hit safely in five straight games, going 8-for-20 (.400) over that span, and the hot streak has pushed his slash line on the season up to .277/.355/.351.

Rendon (knee) said there's a chance he could be activated from the injured list during the Angels' three-game series at Boston this weekend, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The 30-year-old resumed light baseball activities Monday, so it's a bit of a surprise to hear a return this weekend is a realistic possibility. Rendon did some jogging Tuesday and had no issues while fielding grounders and taking swings Monday. He'll likely need to ramp up his progression over the next few days to have a chance of playing against the Red Sox.

Urshela (knee) will play third base and bat cleanup Tuesday against the Rays.

Urshela left Thursday's game against the Astros with a knee injury and didn't appear in the weekend series against the Nationals. He's good to go following Monday's off day, however, and will be looking to continue the five-game hitting streak he was on at the time he got hurt.

Davis' (hand) activation from the injured list does not appear to be imminent, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

The line from manager Luis Rojas was that Brandon Nimmo (finger) is closer to returning than Davis, so there is no firm timetable, but we know Davis won't be activated in the next couple days. Meanwhile, Jonathan Villar continues to serve as the primary third baseman.

Candelario was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals after experiencing some negative side effects related to a second COVID-19 vaccine shot, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Candelario will head to the bench for the first time this season as a result, but he'll likely be ready to play again in a day or two. Harold Castro will fill in for Candelario at third base Tuesday.

Bregman is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

Bregman will rest his legs after starting 20 straight games. He's produced his usual strong numbers this season, hitting .313/.374/.500 through 29 games. Aledmys Diaz will start at the hot corner in his absence.

Candelario was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals for undisclosed reasons.

Candelario will be on the bench for the first time all season. He was initially set to serve as the designated hitter but will now sit in favor of Jonathan Schoop. It's unclear whether Candelario is dealing with an injury or the team has simply decided to give him a full off day rather than a partial one.

Senzel will lead off and start at second base Tuesday against the Pirates.

Rather than forcing Senzel to compete with Tyler Naquin for work in center field, manager David Bell has found a way to keep both hot-hitting players in the lineup by deploying Senzel at the keystone. With Senzel having now made five starts at second base this season and three in the past four games, Jonathan India appears to have shifted into a reserve role. Given that India is one of the organization's top prospects, he could soon be sent to Triple-A Louisville in order to pick up everyday at-bats.

Farmer will start at shortstop and bat eighth Tuesday against the Pirates.

Joey Votto's (thumb) recent move to the injured list has indirectly opened up an everyday role at shortstop for Farmer. With Mike Moustakas moving across the diamond to cover first base while Votto is out, Eugenio Suarez has shifted over to third base, allowing Farmer to step in at shortstop. Farmer will be making his fourth straight start at the position Tuesday, but he shouldn't attract much interest outside of NL-only formats. Farmer is hitting .210/.329/.290 on the season and will likely regularly fill a bottom-third spot in the batting order.
