Thursday marked Suarez's sixth multi-RBI game of the month, and his 62 RBI this season is second most in the majors behind Pete Alonso (63).

Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Not starting, may be available
Baty (groin) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta, but he could be available off the bench, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.
Ronny Mauricio will pick up a third consecutive start at third base while Baty sits due to a groin injury he suffered Sunday. The Mets were considering placing Baty on the injured list Wednesday, but he arrived at the ballpark Thursday feeling much better and showed improvement during pregame drills. That bodes well for his chances of avoiding a stint on the injured list, but it remains unclear when he'll be cleared to appear in a game again.

Miguel Vargas 2B | CHW
White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Swipes bag in loss
Vargas went 2-for-4 with a walk, one RBI, one run scored and a stolen base in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.
Vargas was a thorn in the Cardinals' side throughout the game, highlighted by an RBI single and a stolen base in the fifth inning. The 25-year-old extended his hitting streak to seven games, a stretch that includes six extra-base hits, three RBI and seven runs scored. On the season, he's slashing .244/.323/.439 with 10 home runs, 32 RBI, 37 runs scored and three steals across 294 plate appearances.

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Riding pine in nightcap
Hayes isn't in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Tigers.
After an 0-for-4 performance during a 9-2 loss in Game 1, Hayes will grab a seat on the bench for the back half of Thursday's activities. Jared Triolo will replace him at the hot corner and bat sixth.

Angels' Kevin Newman: Nursing minor ankle injury
Newman was removed from Thursday's game against the Yankees in the seventh inning due to an ankle injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Newman was sore after twisting his ankle, but he's expected to be available to play Friday versus the Astros. He went hitless in three plate appearances Thursday before departing.

Connor Norby 2B | MIA
Marlins' Connor Norby: Ends homer drought
Norby went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Phillies.
The third baseman hadn't left the yard since May 24th, stretch of 19 games in which he'd slashed just .174/.230/.217. Norby has a somewhat disappointing four homers, six steals, 20 RBI and 25 runs and .673 OPS in 51 contests, but his 27.6 percent strikeout rate is a step up from last year's 33.0 percent mark.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Giants' Matt Chapman: Resumes light baseball activities
Chapman (hand) is expected to continue wearing his splint through the end of the week, but he is now participating in light conditioning and baseball activities, per MLB.com.
Chapman was placed on the injured list June 10 due to sprained ligaments in his right hand. The third baseman saw a hand specialist, and his X-rays came back negative. However, he could still end up being unavailable for at least the rest of June, according to Buster Olney of ESPN. Casey Schmitt is expected to continue starting at third base while Chapman is sidelined.

Ernie Clement SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Extends hit streak to nine games
Clement went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's win over Arizona.
The 29-year-old infielder hit safely for the ninth straight game, a stretch in which Clement is batting a blistering .410 (16-for-39) with four doubles, a solo homer and seven total runs scored. With injuries piling up in the Blue Jays' outfield, Addison Barger is needed in right field, allowing Clement to start five of the last six games at third base. Given the way he's swinging the bat however, manager John Schneider would be finding ways to get him in the lineup even if there wasn't a regular spot available for Clement.

Addison Barger SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Addison Barger: On base four times in win
Barger went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, a run scored and an RBI in Wednesday's win over the Diamondbacks.
Batting second and starting in right field, Barger continued to scald the ball. Over his last 16 starts, the 25-year-old is slashing .328/.377/.703 with six doubles, six homers, 13 RBI and 15 runs. With Daulton Varsho (hamstring), Anthony Santander (shoulder), Nathan Lukes (concussion) and Myles Straw (ankle) all on the mend, Barger will likely see more work in right field in the short term rather than splitting his time at third base.
