Clement went 4-for-7 with a double, a solo home run and four total runs scored in Wednesday's rout of the Rockies.

His ninth-inning shot off position player Austin Nola gave Clement his sixth homer of the season. The 29-year-old utility player took full advantage of a trip to Coors Field, going 9-for-18 with four extra-base hits and seven runs scored, as the Blue Jays set an MLB record for hits (63) and a franchise record for runs (45) over the three-game series. Through 433 plate appearances this year, Clement has a career-best .290 batting average and .325 OBP while adding three steals, 34 RBI and 61 runs.

House is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Since the All-Star break, House has put together a lowly .229/.235/.250 slash line in 14 contests, and his downturn in production is beginning to cost him some playing time. He'll hit the bench for the second time in four games and the third time in seven contests while Paul DeJong receives a start at third base in his stead.

Urshela is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Urshela had started four of the previous five games, but he'll begin Thursday's matinee on the bench. Max Schuemann will handle third base and bat ninth for the Athletics.

Lee went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-4 win over the Tigers.

Lee scored on a wild pitch in the second inning before tying the game with a 430-foot blast in the fourth. The big night came at a good time, as the 24-year-old had entered Wednesday in a 1-for-21 slump since homering twice July 29 versus Boston. For the season, he's slashing .245/.288/.376 with 11 home runs, 44 RBI, 30 runs scored and two steals across 354 plate appearances.

Caminero went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three total RBI in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

Caminero opened the scoring in the first inning with a two-run, 447-foot blast off Tyler Anderson before adding a solo shot in the third, giving him 30 home runs this year. The 22-year-old Caminero had been struggling at the plate prior to Wednesday's contest, going 6-for-41 (.146) with a .470 OPS in his previous 11 games. Still, the third baseman is slashing .253/.293/.509 with 76 RBI, 64 runs scored and five stolen bases across 464 plate appearances this season.

Rojas isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Seattle.

Rojas will get a breather after beginning the month 2-for-12 with a home run and two walks through four games. Brooks Baldwin will start at the hot corner instead and bat ninth.

McKinstry went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-4 loss to the Twins.

McKinstry popped his first home run of August and 10th of the season in the third inning. It's a career high for the veteran utility man, who had nine long balls for the Tigers back in 2023. McKinstry's numbers this year don't jump off the page, but as a player known primarily for his defensive versatility and not for his bat, his .269 batting average and .804 OPS across 103 games have been a pleasant surprise.

Durbin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

With left-hander Joey Wentz starting for Atlanta on Tuesday, Durbin rejoined the starting nine and went 0-for-4 with a walk across his five plate appearances, but he's still maintained a robust .320/.393/.440 slash line over 84 total plate appearances versus southpaws this season. Durbin has been far less effective against righties (.302 wOBA, 94 wRC+ in 242 plate appearances), though serviceable enough to remain the Brewers' best option at third base in those matchups. Even so, Durbin will find himself on the bench for the fourth straight game against a righty (Spencer Strider) while Brewers manager Pat Murphy once again goes with the switch-hitting Anthony Seigler at the hot corner. When asked about the shakeup at third base Tuesday, Murphy told Adam McCalvy of MLB.com that the rigors of the long season have played a factor in his decision to hold the rookie out of the lineup more frequently of late, though the skipper didn't indicate that Durbin has fallen into a strict platoon with Seigler. Nonetheless, the lack of consistent starts against right-handed pitching of late has made it more difficult to count on Durbin to compile counting stats.

DeJong will start at second base and bat third in Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

After he was on the bench for each of the last three games, DeJong will re-enter the starting nine Wednesday while Luis Garcia takes a seat against Athletics southpaw Jeffrey Springs. DeJong is slashing .231/.283/.374 overall on the season and looks destined to remain in a utility role unless an injury opens up an everyday job at second base, third base or shortstop.

Urshela will start at third base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Urshela will stick in the lineup for the fourth time in five games while Luis Urias (back) is day-to-day and Max Muncy (hand) remains on the shelf. Assuming Urias is able to avoid a stint on the injured list and rejoins the lineup in the near future, Urshela will likely fade into more of a part-time role.
