Anthony Rendon homers, drives in three in Nationals win
Anthony Rendon is starting to heat up after missing most of the year with a variety of injuries, homering for the second straight night and driving in three runs in the Nationals' 9-5 victory over the Brewers on Sunday.
Rendon tagged a two-out, three-run homer in the fifth inning of Brewers starter Matt Garza for his third home run of the season. He's now driven in 12 RBIs this season in just 43 games.

Rockies' Nolan Arenado drives in four runs
Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado went 3 for 5 in Friday's loss to the Mets. Arenado scored three times, doubled twice and homered and drove in four runs.
It's the fifth time this year Arenado has had four RBI in a game and first since June 26. It's also the sixth time he's had at least eight total bases this season and first since June 28.

Giants 3B Matt Duffy remains to roll with four-RBI game
Giants hot-hitting third baseman Matt Duffy certainly made the most of his two doubles Saturday night against Washington.
His first cleared the bases in the third inning and provided a lead his team would not relinquish. The second drove in a run in the eighth.
Duffy has five hits and seven RBI over his last two games. His latest effort sweetened his slash line to .310/.346/.475. His slugging percentage is at its highest point since July 2.

Matt Duffy powers Giants to victory over Nationals on Friday
Giants third baseman Matt Duffy led the charge against Max Scherzer and the Nationals on Friday night. Duffy was perfect at the plate, going 3 for 3 with a walk and finished a triple shy of the cylce. He also drove in three runs and scored one of his own, as the Giants topped the Nats 8-5.
Duffy got the scoring started for the Giants, as he hit a solo home run in the first inning to tie the game at 1-1. He added in an RBI double in the next inning, as part of a four-run second.
"Typically, if you can get a guy to throw pitches over the middle of the plate and take advantage of him, that's when good things happen," Duffy said, per MLB.com. "We got a few pitches over the middle and we were able to capitalize."
It's the fifth time this season that Duffy has finished a game one hit away from hitting for the cycle.

Slumping Nationals Anthony Rendon, Jayson Werth sitting Friday
Slumping second baseman Anthony Rendon and left fielder Jayson Werth have both been benched by the Nationals for the Friday night game in San Francisco. Danny Espinosa and Clint Robinson will assume those positions, respectively.
Rendon hasn't produced a multi-hit game since Aug. 2. He is 7-for-38 since then. Werth has just five hits in 42 at-bats this month.

Reds SS Eugenio Suarez collects four RBI in Thursday's win
Reds shortstop Eugenio Suarez provided all the offense the team needed during Thursday's 10-3 win over the Dodgers.
Suarez went 3 for 5 at the plate with a team-high four RBI. His biggest hit came in the sixth inning when he smacked a three-run home run off Pedro Baez.
Prior to Thursday's win, Suarez was hitting .279 with one home run and seven RBI in his last 12 games.

Pirates' Pedro Alvarez homers among three hits in win Thursday
Pirates first baseman Pedro Alvarez was an offensive juggernaut in Thursday's 10-5 win over the Cardinals. Alvarez went 3 for 4 with a pair of RBI. He hit a two-run home run--his 17th of the year--as part of a seven-run first inning.
The slugging first baseman is batting .310 with two home runs and four RBI in 10 games this month.

Giants 3B Matt Duffy goes 4 for 5 in win on Tuesday
Giants third baseman Matt Duffy continues to be a pleasant surprise, as he contributed four hits, an RBI and a run scored in the 8-3 win over the Braves on Tuesday. His biggest hit was an RBI double in the eighth inning to tie the game up 3-3.
Duffy keeps on rolling at the plate, as he is now batting .381 with three doubles, a homer and seven RBI over his past 10 games.

Braves' Jace Peterson collects three hits, homers in win Monday
Braves second baseman Jace Peterson filled up the boxscore in Monday's 8-7 win over the Giants. Peterson went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, RBI and two runs scored. Peterson's big blow was a three-run home run in the sixth, to cut the Giants' lead to 6-3.
It was Peterson's fifth home run of the year. He has now homered in back-to-back games after going 27 games without one.

Braves 2B Jace Peterson hits three-run home run in Sunday's win
Braves second baseman Jace Peterson went 3 for 4 at the plate during Sunday's 6-2 win over the Phillies.
His biggest hit came when Peterson hit a three-run home run off Adam Morgan in the fifth inning. It was his fourth home run of the season.
Prior to Sunday's win, Peterson was hitting .132 with one RBI in his last 11 games.
