Rockies slugger Nolan Arenado went 3 for 7 with a go-ahead solo homer in the top of the 16th inning in a 4-3 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday.

After playing all 16 innings of the game, it wouldn't be a surprise if manager Walt Weiss elected to rest Arenado for the series finale Wednesday.

Rockies' Nolan Arenado pads NL home run lead with first-inning blast
Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado increased his home run lead, as he cranked out a solo shot in the first inning of Thursday's 4-3 win over the Padres.
Arenado is on some kind of tear right now. He has homered in two of his last three games, and has eight longballs in 11 games this month. And it's not just a power display for the stud third baseman. He's batting .432 with three doubles so far in September.

Chest contusion forces Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado out of game
Rockies slugger Nolan Arenado has been taken out of the Monday game against the host Padres with a chest contusion, per the San Diego Union-Tribune, which is awaiting the results of x-rays.
Arenado was removed in the eighth inning, which allowed him to remain in long enough to slam an RBI double and score a run.

Red-hot Nolan Arenado homers in sixth straight game for Rockies
Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado kept his hot swinging alive on Saturday, as he homered for the sixth consecutive game. He blasted a two-run shot off Jake Peavy in the sixth inning, but it was not enough to avoid the 7-3 loss to the Giants.
Arenado is now tied with teammate Carlos Gonzalez for the National League lead in home runs with 36. He has also recorded at least one RBI in eight straight ballgames, and he's batting a ridiculous .457 over that stretch.

Giants 3B Matt Duffy remains in lineup Thursday
Giants third baseman Matt Duffy has lost no time to a right ankle sprain that plagued him during the game Wednesday. He is in the lineup Thursday against the Cubs.
The team can ill-afford to lose Duffy, who has been among their most productive hitters. He just had an eight-game hitting streak snapped in which he batted .333 (11-for-33).

Giants' Matt Duffy is day to day with sprained right ankle
Giants third baseman Matt Duffy is day to day after spraining his right ankle during Wednesday's 4-2 win against the Cubs, according to MLB.com.
Duffy hurt himself during a first-inning pickoff attempt at first base. Surprisingly, Duffy remained in the game and even had a stolen base. Manager Bruce Bochy was already down a pair of position players to injury, so if Duffy left the game, catcher Buster Posey might have played third base.
Duffy underwent X-rays after the game, which showed no fracture. He is considered day to day.
He is batting .317 with one triple, one home run, seven doubles, 13 RBI, 14 runs, six walks, 15 strikeouts and three stolen bases in 24 August games.

Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado gets rare day off Wednesday
Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Braves. Arenado hasn't had a day off since early July, so he is long due for a rest day.
Arenado is batting .268 with a home run and eight RBI over his last 10 games. Daniel Descalso will replace Arenado at the hot corner on Wednesday.
