Cody Asche 3B | NYM
Phillies' Cody Asche: Plays the outfield in a minor league game
Asche (oblique) played four innings in the outfield Thursday in a minor league game, CSN Philadelphia reports.
Asche did not bat, but has started doing some light swinging in the batting cage. It is reaching the point where it is going to be very difficult for Asche to be ready for Opening Day. He might miss the first week or two of the regular season in order to get in enough work, but should not be forgotten in deeper drafts. He figures to earn at least a share of the playing time in left field this season with Aaron Altherr sidelined for 4-6 months.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Healthy following injury-plagued 2015
Rendon went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored in the Nats' win over Atlanta on Thursday afternoon.
Moving back to third base on an everyday basis, Rendon no longer has to worry about the physical rigors of manning the keystone. He's not tearing the cover off the ball this spring through 10 games, but Rendon is completely healthy, and that is essential in his bid to rebound from a disappointing 2015 campaign.

Mike Olt 3B | BOS
Padres' Mike Olt: Minor league deal with San Diego
Olt signed a minor league contract with San Diego that does not include an invitation to spring training, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Olt was released by the White Sox on Tuesday. He'll likely add depth at Triple-A with Yangervis Solarte set to begin the season as San Diego's starting third baseman.

Matt Reynolds 3B | CIN
Mets' Matt Reynolds: Possible back up shortstop for the Mets
Ruben Tejada's release potentially opens the door for Reynolds to break camp with the Mets, the NY Daily News reports.
Reynolds' chance to open 2016 in New York has spiked with Asdrubal Cabrera (knee) expected to start the year on the disabled list. Wilmer Flores is likely to open the season as the starting shortstop and Reynolds could serve as the backup. Eric Campbell may open the season as the team's insurance policy at third basem behind David Wright, which would then give Reynolds a chance at backing up Flores, who will play shortstop rather than back up Wright at the hot corner. The possibility does exist that Ty Kelly or T.J. Rivera earns that spot.

Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Giants' Matt Duffy: Goes yard for the first time this spring
Duffy went yard for the first time this spring, taking Sonny Gray deep in Monday's loss to the Athletics.
Duffy is batting just .211 through seven games. It usually isn't a wise practice to make fantasy decisions based on spring training stats, but we would have liked to see a bit more from Duffy after coming out of nowhere in 2015. This home run could be a sign that his bat is waking up, which would definitely ease the thoughts of his owners.

Matt Reynolds 3B | CIN
Mets' Matt Reynolds: Possible option at shortstop for Mets
Reynolds, sidelined with a tight right hamstring since Monday, should return to action early next week and may have a chance at breaking camp with the Mets due to Asdrubal Cabrera's knee injury, the New York Post reports.
Cabrera will be out at least the next two weeks and could miss the first week or two of the season. Ruben Tejada and Wilmer Flores are splitting time at shortstop, but manager Terry Collins included Reynolds' name with those two as a possible option at the position.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Cubs' Jeimer Candelario: Batting third Saturday
Candelario is batting third against the White Sox on Saturday, Carrie Muskat of the Cubs' official site reports.
Candelario has been getting a lot of action this spring, but he's blocked at third base by Kris Bryant, so his chances of making the roster out of camp are nil. It's possible the Cubs are showcasing him for a potential trade, but it's more likely he'll spend the year with Double-A Tennessee or Triple-A Iowa.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Diamondbacks' Jean Segura: Expected to return Saturday
Segura (knee) is expected to play in Saturday's game against the Royals, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
The issue was never thought to be serious and a setback-free performance Saturday should be all we need to think Segura has healed. He'll return with a clear lead for the starting shortstop role.

Matt Reynolds 3B | CIN
Mets' Matt Reynolds: Day-to-day with tight hamstring
Reynolds has a tight right hamstring and has been out of Grapefruit League games for three days, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.
The injury is not considered serious, and he should return to the lineup within a couple days. Reynolds offers organizational middle infield depth for a team that already is pretty loaded in that department, so he is unlikely to make an impact at the big league level anytime soon.

Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA
Cardinals' Patrick Wisdom: Out a week with hamstring issue
Wisdom will miss about a week with a hamstring injury, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Derrick Goold reports.
The 24-year-old third baseman has yet to reach Triple-A, so he is unlikely to be in the conversation for a spot on the 25-man roster out of camp. He has displayed some pop in back-to-back years at Double-A, but he has not hit better than .237 in 239 games at that level, so he may top out as a Quadruple-A type.
