Rendon has been dropped from second to sixth in the Nationals' batting order for Tuesday's game against the Mets, CSN's Mark Zuckerman reports.

Rendon has hit almost exclusively in the two hole for the Nationals this year, but he is still struggling to get much going with the bat, so manager Dusty Baker decided to swap him and Jayson Werth in the order for at least a night. Rendon will have a tough task Tuesday facing Mets ace Noah Syndergaard, but for what it's worth, he does have three hits in seven career at-bats against him.

Reynolds was recalled by the Mets on Tuesday but he is not in the lineup for New York's matchup against Washington.

The Mets add some infield depth with the addition of Reynolds to the active roster. The 25-year-old slashed .238/.303/.369 at Triple-A Las Vegas prior to his call-up Tuesday. Although he's not in the lineup Tuesday, Wilmer Flores' absence due to a hamstring injury ought to lead to some appearances for Reynolds in the near future. Sean Gilmartin was optioned in a corresponding move to promote Reynolds.

Segura went 2-for-5 with a double, triple and three RBI in Monday's win over the Yankees.

Segura had gone 0-for-9 over his last two games, but he broke out of his mini-slump on Monday. The sample size is getting large enough to suggest that Segura could be returning to his 2013 All-Star form. He doesn't take a ton of walks (just four so far this season), but he's finding a way to get on base at a .360 clip. Segura is also driving the ball to the tune of a .512 slugging percentage, which would easily be a new career best (he slugged .423 in 2013).

Suarez went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 15-6 loss to the Indians.

Suarez has now homered in back-to-back games and has shaken off a recent slump at the plate by collecting five hits in his last 11 at-bats. With eight homers already this season, Suarez is well on his way to surpass his 2015 total of 13 home runs.

Reynolds is expected to be called up prior to Tuesday's series opener against the Nationals, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.

Reynolds hasn't put up overwhelming numbers with Triple-A Las Vegas, but the Mets don't have much infield depth after placing Wilmer Flores (hamstring) on the disabled list, so he seems primed to make his first appearance in the big leagues. The Mets will likely send a reliever to Triple-A to make room for Reynolds on the roster, but it's currently unknown who specifically will be demoted. Reynolds was selected over Ty Kelly and T.J. Rivera largely because he is already on the 40-man roster.

Suarez went 3-for-6 with a three-run homer Sunday at Philadelphia.

Suarez's seventh bomb of the season moved the Reds out to a seven-run lead in a game they'd win easily. He came into this game mired in a 2-for-22 slump, but three hits raised his batting average 12 points to .250.

Duffy was held out of Sunday's lineup due to a tight hamstring, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

What was originally thought to be a routine day off turned out to be injury-related, as Duffy will relinquish his regular third base duties in hopes of giving the hamstring the rest it needs. With a team day off scheduled for Monday, the timing seemed right for getting Duffy a bit of a break. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.

Duffy is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Chalk this up as a routine day of rest for Duffy, who will be held out of the lineup for the first time since May 4. Conor Gillaspie will take over at the hot corner for the afternoon contest.

Rendon went 2-for-4 with an RBI, run scored and a walk in the first game of a Saturday day-night doubleheader versus the Marlins.

The 25-year-old stepped up with his third multi-hit effort in the last four games. His bat has been in a deep slumber during May, as he's only slashed .188/.291/.375 for the month despite Saturday's effort.

LeMahieu went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run and two RBI Saturday against the Mets.

LeMahieu singled in a run in the second inning and gave the Rockies a lead they'd never relinquish. He's now recorded multiple hits in six of his last 12 games to raise his batting average to .304.
