Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: More late-inning heroics
Riley went 3-for-5 with a triple, a home run, three runs scored and three RBI in Wednesday's 8-7 extra-innings win over the Pirates.
The rookie was one of the heroes in this one for Atlanta -- he tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with a solo shot, then scored the winning run in the 11th, coming around on Ozzie Albies' double after being hit by a pitch. Riley is now slashing .292/.336/.623 through his first 26 big-league games with 10 homers and 29 RBI despite a shaky 4:36 BB:K.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Finally goes deep again
Suarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 7-2 victory against the Indians on Wednesday.
He has 15 homers this season, but this long ball snapped a streak for Suarez of 15 straight contests with a home run. He also hadn't posted an extra-base hit in 10 games. Still, Suarez is batting .260 with a .500 slugging percentage, 15 homers, 42 RBI and 33 runs in 242 at-bats this season.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Rockies' Nolan Arenado: X-ray comes back clean
Manager Bud Black said an X-ray on Arenado's forearm did not reveal significant damage, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
Arenado exited Wednesday's game after taking a pitch off his left arm, though early indications are that the third baseman escaped with a bruise. That said, the Rockies will continue to evaluate him in the coming days, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him sit Thursday's series opener against the Padres as a precaution. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Lands on minor-league IL
Hayes was placed on the 7-day injured list with a fractured left index finger, Nubyjas Wilborn of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Hayes suffered the injury during Tuesday's game for Triple-A Indianapolis, and it's severe enough to force the well-regarded youngster to miss at least one week. Prior to landing on the minor-league IL, Hayes was slashing .241/.333/.388 with three homers and eight stolen bases in 58 games for Indianapolis.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Drives in two Tuesday
Longoria went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 6-5 victory over the Padres.
Longoria's two-run double off of Trey Wingenter put the Giants ahead for good in the seventh inning. The veteran third baseman's overall numbers (.234/.311/.408) are being weighed down by a horrendous start to the season. Longoria has, however, picked things up as the weather has warmed up in June, slashing .344/.371/.500 with a homer and six RBI in nine games this month.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Diagnosed with forearm bruise
Arenado was removed from Wednesday's game against the Cubs due to a left forearm bruise, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Arenado appears to have escaped with a bruise after getting hit by a pitch near his elbow during the third inning Wednesday. Despite the initial good news, the Rockies will likely continue to monitor the third baseman carefully over the next 24 hours before determining his status for Thursday's series opener against the Padres.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Exits after HBP
Arenado was removed from Wednesday's game against the Cubs with an apparent injury, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
Arenado was hit by a pitch in the elbow during the third inning Wednesday and was visibly upset afterward. He stayed in for the subsequent inning but was ultimately replaced by Ryan McMahon prior to taking the field in the top of the fifth. Specifics regarding the injury are not yet known.

Kevin Newman 3B | LAA
Pirates' Kevin Newman: Posts three hits
Newman went 3-for-4 with two runs and a stolen base Tuesday in the Pirates' 7-5 loss to the Braves.
Newman didn't need a full nine innings to turn in one of his better performances of the season, as the game was called in the eighth following a one-hour, 48-minute rain delay. The 25-year-old looks to have a stranglehold on the leadoff gig in Pittsburgh with each of his last 11 starts coming out of that spot in the batting order.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Hits bench vs. lefty
McMahon is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Cubs, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
McMahon will retreat to the bench for Wednesday's series finale with a southpaw in Cole Hamels toeing the rubber for the Cubs. It's worth noting that the 24-year-old started against lefty Jose Quintana on Tuesday, suggesting he may not be in a strict platoon. Brendan Rodgers is starting at the keystone and hitting seventh in his place.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Goes yard twice in loss
Rendon went 2-for-4 with a walk, two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the White Sox.
It had been six games since Rendon's last multi-hit effort, which is what passes for a slump these days for the 29-year-old. On the year, he's slashing .320/.422/.655 with 14 homers and 46 RBI in 53 games, and with free agency looming in the offseason, Rendon is putting together a career-best campaign.
