Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Phillies' Jean Segura: Exits Sunday's game
Segura was removed from Sunday's contest against the Pirates with heel soreness, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.
The injury was likely an aggravation of the heel injury Segura suffered July 15. He was forced to miss two games prior to returning for the team's series finale Thursday against the Dodgers. Scott Kingery shifted to shortstop to replace Segura while Nick Williams entered the game to play left field.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Absent from Sunday's lineup
Riley is not in the lineup Sunday against the Nationals.
Riley has now been relegated to the bench in two of the team's last four games thanks to the return of Ender Inciarte. However, Riley hasn't helped his cause by hitting just .170/.224/.302 across 58 plate appearances in July. Inciarte is starting in Riley's place, manning center field and batting eighth.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Available off bench
Senzel (hamstring) is available off the bench Sunday against the Cardinals, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Senzel remains out of the starting lineup Sunday but will be available off the bench for the second consecutive contest. Manager David Bell indicated that he was playing it safe by not starting Senzel, meaning he could be close to a return to the lineup.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Still sitting Sunday
Senzel (hamstring) is not in Sunday's lineup against the Cardinals.
Senzel was used as a pinch runner Saturday and remained in the game to play defense, but he is apparently not ready to play all nine innings yet. Jesse Winker will start in center field while leading off.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Brewers' Mike Moustakas: Extends hit streak to 10 with homer
Moustakas went 1-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run in Saturday's 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
His eighth-inning blast off Andrew Chafin gave the Brewers their first lead of the game and proved to be the game-winning hit. Moustakas extended his hit streak to 10 games in the process, and the veteran slugger is slashing .308/.386/.615 over that stretch with two homers, seven RBI and eight runs.

Reds' Nick Senzel: Available off bench

Reds' Nick Senzel: Still sitting Saturday
Senzel (hamstring) remains on the bench Saturday against St. Louis.
Senzel hasn't played since leaving Wednesday's game against the Cubs with a hamstring injury. The Reds didn't expect him to require a trip to the injured list at the time, but he's now sitting for the third straight contest. Jesse Winker will again slide to center field, with Josh VanMeter starting in left.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Working out with boot
Longoria worked out on the field Saturday with a boot on his injured left foot, Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Longoria has been out nearly a week with plantar fasciitis. He said Tuesday that he was hoping to return in two weeks, though the Giants have yet to provide a specific timeline for his return.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Mets' J.D. Davis: Fourth start in five games
Davis will start in left field and bat seventh Saturday against the Giants, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.
Davis will make his fourth start in five games, including his third in left field over that stretch. His inclusion in the lineup Saturday may have at least partially been a byproduct of Dominic Smith botching an easy pop fly in the outfield in Friday's contest that allowed the Giants to score the game's only run. Davis won't provide much of a defensive upgrade in the outfield, but he's at least been capable at the plate when called upon this season, delivering a .280/.343/.454 slash line across 239 plate appearances.

Edmundo Sosa 2B | PHI
Cardinals' Edmundo Sosa: Sent back to minors
Sosa was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Saturday.
Sosa was up for just four days. He made three appearances off the bench, going 1-for-3 at the plate. Reliever Ryan Helsley was recalled in a corresponding move.
