  • Kevin Newman 3B | LAA

Pirates' Kevin Newman: Scores three times in win

Newman went 4-for-4 with a double, RBI, two steals and three runs in a 9-8 victory against the Reds on Sunday.

His third four-hit day of the season pushed his average back above .300. Average is where he excels the most, but Newman is an all-around solid contributor. He has 25 extra-base hits, including seven home runs, 44 RBI, 40 runs and 13 steals in 374 at-bats this season.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Homers, doubles in loss

Arenado went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 11-4 loss to the Cardinals.

Arenado's fifth-inning homer was his 11th of August, giving him 33 for 2019. It also lifted him to the 100-RBI mark for the fifth straight season. The 28-year-old remains one of the best names in fantasy baseball.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Giants' Evan Longoria: Drives in three runs

Longoria went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's 5-4 win over Oakland.

Longoria launched a solo homer off starter Brett Anderson in the third inning and later drove in the game-winning run with his two-RBI single in the seventh. The 33-year-old third baseman has launched 10 homers since the start of July, raising his OPS from .671 to .792 in the process.

  • Padres' Manny Machado: Snaps home run drought in win

Machado went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Sunday's win over Boston.

Machado plated a pair of runs with a two-run shot off Brian Johnson in the first inning. The long ball was his first since July 30, a span of 83 at-bats. The 27-year-old is slashing .266/.336/.473 with 27 homers and 73 RBI in 538 plate appearances this season.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Knocks four hits in win

Rendon went 4-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Cubs.

Rendon opened the game's scoring with his solo blast in the fourth inning and was a menace to Cubs pitchers all afternoon. His slash line is up to .329/.407/.617 with 104 RBI and 67 extra-base hits.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Mets' J.D. Davis: Collects two base knocks

Davis went 2-for-3 with a walk in Sunday's loss to the Braves.

Davis reached base three times in the series finale, though his team would fall 2-1. The 26-year-old was 0-for-11 at the dish over his last three contests, so a pair of base knocks could give him some momentum heading into the Mets' upcoming three-game series against the Cubs.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Braves' Josh Donaldson: Slugs two homers in win

Donaldson went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs Sunday against the Mets.

Donaldson provided Atlanta's only offense on the day, leaving the yard in the second and seventh innings of Sunday's series finally. Fortunately, it was just enough for his team to emerge with a 2-1 victory. The 33-year-old third baseman finished the weekend on a high note, collecting four base knocks (including three homers) over the last three contests.

  • Nick Senzel 3B | LAD

Reds' Nick Senzel: Dealing with sore thumb

Senzel is not in the lineup Sunday due to a sore right thumb, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Equirer reports.

Senzel is on the bench for the second straight contest, so the thumb issue helps explain his absence. Manager David Bell indicated it's not a serious concern and said, "I'd say it's more of a combination and just continuing to give him a little bit more time to work through some things." Phillip Ervin is starting in center field in his place.

  • Kevin Newman 3B | LAA

Pirates' Kevin Newman: Scores three times in win

Newman went 1-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and three runs Saturday in the Pirates' 14-0 win over the Reds.

Batting out of the leadoff spot for the third time in four games, Newman helped spark a struggling Pirates offense that exploded for its most runs since July 1. Newman seems to have unseated Adam Frazier for the table-setting role, as he'll start at shortstop and lead off again Sunday in the series finale.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Phillies' Jean Segura: Draws pair of walks in win

Segura went 1-for-3 with two walks and a run Saturday in the Phillies' 9-3 win over the Marlins.

Segura has reached base in all but three of his past 17 games, slashing .324/.373/.426 over that stretch. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, the solid run of late hasn't resulted in Segura providing much juice in the counting categories, as he hasn't produced a home run or stolen base and has rather modest totals of seven RBI and eight runs. He'll at least draw a favorable matchup Sunday against Marlins right-hander Elieser Hernandez, who owns a 2.5 HR/9 rate for the season. Segura will bat fifth and start at shortstop.
