Anderson will be placed on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Anderson was held out of Wednesday's lineup with side soreness, and his condition reportedly did not improve as expected Thursday. As a result, he'll be placed on the 10-day injured list. Jon Berti should pick up playing time at third base in Anderson's absence.

Phillies manager Joe Girardi named Maton and Brad Miller as the most likely candidates to pick up starts at second base following Jean Segura's (quadriceps) placement on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Maton filled in at shortstop for Didi Gregorius (elbow) in each of the Phillies' last three games, going 5-for-12 with a double and an RBI. Though Girardi believes Gregorius will be ready to go for Friday's game in Colorado, Segura's absence should free up more reps in the middle infield. Considering that both Maton and Miller are left-handed hitters, a platoon between the two won't be an option, so a timeshare could be in place until one player separates himself from the other while Segura is out.

Anderson is not in Thursday's lineup and may also miss Friday's game with soreness on his left side, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.

Anderson was held out of Wednesday's lineup with what appeared to be a minor injury, though it now seems as though his absence will extend for another few days. Jon Berti is likely to gain playing time at third base in Anderson's absence.

Davis isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cubs, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Davis has struggled defensively in recent contests, and he'll get a breather for Thursday's series finale in Chicago. Luis Guillorme will start at the hot corner in his place and lead off.

Senzel went 2-for-3 with a walk in Wednesday's 8-5 loss to Arizona. He was also caught stealing once.

The center fielder's unimpressive start to 2021 has been marked by a .227 average and only two RBI in 44 at-bats. Only a few years removed from being a top-10 prospect in baseball, Senzel has yet to truly impress at the MLB level, hitting .243 with 52 RBI in 489 career at-bats. He does take a fair number of walks, and thus gets on base at a respectable rate, but will lack legitimate fantasy value until his offensive game reaches the next level.

Davis went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI but also committed his third error in the last two games during Wednesday's loss to the Cubs.

The 27-year-old has put together a four-game hitting streak, going 6-for-15 with a homer and three RBI, but Davis' positive contributions with his bat have been undermined by his glove. The Mets remain committed to giving him a chance to work things out and lock down the hot corner, but if his defense doesn't improve, Davis could begin to lose starts and late-game at-bats to Luis Guillorme and Jonathan Villar.

Hayes aggravated his left wrist injury Wednesday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Hayes was with the team in Detroit and appeared set to return within a few days, but his wrist felt worse again after taking some swings. He'll be reexamined by a hand specialist, at which point a new timeline for his return should become clear.

Farmer will start at third base and bat eighth Thursday against the Diamondbacks, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

The 30-year-old looked like he would be headed back to a bench role after Mike Moustakas was initially cleared to return from a three-game absence ahead of Tuesday's series opener, but the Reds later scratched Moustakas from the lineup and placed him on the 10-day injured list with a non-COVID-19 illness. With Moustakas out of the picture in the short term, Farmer should be a fixture in the starting nine at the hot corner, just as he has been in the past five games. Farmer has thus far contributed three hits -- including a home run -- in 14 at-bats since stepping into the everyday lineup.

Riley went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, three runs scored and two walks in Thursday's win over the Yankees.

Riley began the season in dreadful fashion, managing only eight hits -- all singles -- through his first 50 plate appearances. However, he's showed signs of rounding into form in his last three games, with Wednesday's performance highlighted by his first homer of the season. In that three-game span, Riley has also collected five hits in 11 at-bats while scoring five runs.

Duffy went 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and three RBI in Wednesday's 16-4 win over the Mets.

Duffy was logging just his second start of the season and made the most out of the opportunity in the easy win. The 30-year-old is still behind the likes of David Bote and Eric Sogard in the pecking order at second base, and Kris Bryant has third locked down most days; therefore, Duffy will have to find ways to contribute with limited playing time.
