Brewers' Jace Peterson: Picks up fourth straight start

Peterson will start in right field and will bat sixth Wednesday against the Reds.

Peterson served as the Brewers' leadoff man in Tuesday's 3-2 win, but he'll slide down the order in the series finale with Avisail Garcia rejoining the lineup. Set to make his fourth straight start Wednesday, Peterson has seemingly displaced Luis Urias in the lineup, at least against right-handed pitching.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

    Mets' J.D. Davis: Drought continues

Davis went 0-for-3 with a walk Tuesday in the Mets' 5-2 win over the Rays.

Since churning out three extra-base knocks Sept. 16 against the Phillies, Davis has gone 0-for-19 over his subsequent six starts to drop his season average to .250. He's still racked up eight walks over that same stretch, so Davis shouldn't be in any danger of moving down from his top-three spot in the everyday lineup.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Snaps homer drought

Muncy went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a win over Oakland on Tuesday.

Muncy put the Dodgers ahead for good with a two-run shot in the third inning. The long ball was Muncy's first since Sept. 4 and 11th overall on the campaign. The 30-year-old has struggled with a .191 average this season but has maintained a respectable .333 OBP thanks to taking 37 walks in 231 plate appearances.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Phillies' Jean Segura: Swats seventh homer

Segura went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a 5-1 loss to the Nationals during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

He then went 1-for-3 with a walk in the nightcap. While Segura's .269 batting average and two steals through 50 games might seem disappointing, the 30-year-old's .357 OBP and .440 SLG would be his highest marks since 2016, and his seven homers, 23 RBI and 27 runs have provided solid fantasy value.

  • Carter Kieboom 3B | CLE

Nationals' Carter Kieboom: Remains out for nightcap

Kieboom (hand) remains on the bench for the second half of Tuesday's doubleheader against Philadelphia.

A bruised hand following a hit-by-pitch forced Kieboom out of Monday's game, and he'll be on the bench for both of Tuesday's games. Brock Holt starts at the hot corner this time around.

  • Carter Kieboom 3B | CLE

Nationals' Carter Kieboom: Not starting afternoon game

Kieboom (hand) will not start the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Phillies.

Kieboom left Monday's contest after getting hit by a pitch in the hand, though X-rays revealed nothing worse than a bruise. Whether or not he's in contention for the nightcap is uncertain. Josh Harrison starts at third base in his absence.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Brewers' Jace Peterson: Homers, doubles in loss

Peterson went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Reds.

Peterson cut Cincinnati's lead to 6-3 with his two-run shot off Nate Jones in the ninth. The utility man has hit .211/.392/.395 with two homers and five RBI across 51 plate appearances on the season.

  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Reds' Mike Moustakas: Launches three-run homer

Moustakas went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, double and walk in Monday's 6-3 win over the Brewers.

The infielder's three-run shot off Drew Rasmussen in the eighth ended up being the difference maker for Cincinnati. It marked Moustakas's eighth homer and brought him to 23 RBI on the campaign.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Logs 14th homer

Suarez went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Monday's 6-3 win over the Brewers.

Suarez gave the Reds the lead with his two-run shot off Brandon Woodruff in the sixth. The third baseman has 14 long balls and 33 RBI to go along with a .203/.321/.480 slash line on the season.

  • Carter Kieboom 3B | CLE

Nationals' Carter Kieboom: Receives good news from X-rays

Kieboom's X-rays on his left hand came back negative, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Kieboom has been diagnosed with a bone contusion in his left hand after being hit by a pitch Monday night. The Nationals will evaluate him on a daily basis moving forward.
