Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Dealing with tight shoulder
Machado will sit for the second game in a row Saturday against the Mariners while working through some shoulder tightness, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Machado's off day Friday appeared to be simply a routine one, but manager Jayce Tingler revealed Saturday that his third baseman has been dealing with an injury. The issue appears to be a minor one, however, as Tingler indicated Machado could be in the lineup if a similar problem popped up during a different part of the season. Ha-Seong Kim will make another start at third base.

Edmundo Sosa 3B | PHI
Cardinals' Edmundo Sosa: Stays hot with three hits
Sosa went 3-for-4 with two runs in a loss to the Cubs on Friday.
Sosa logged another start at shortstop and led the Cardinals in hits on the night. The utility man has now hit safely in three straight and appears to be making a strong case to continue logging the majority of starts at shortstop while Paul DeJong (ribs) remains sidelined.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Sitting Saturday
McMahon is on the bench for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.
He certainly earned the day off with a two-homer performance Friday, raising his total to 11 on the season. Further, lefty Madison Bumgarner is not a great matchup for McMahon. Brendan Rodgers fills in at second base Saturday.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Beginning rehab assignment
Hayes (wrist) will start his rehab assignment Saturday with Triple-A Indianapolis, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
Any temptation to rush Hayes' return was eliminated when the Pirates transferred the third baseman to the 60-day injured list May 9, so Hayes will have at least a couple weeks to find his swing and ensure he's ready to rejoin the big-league squad. It's safe to assume that the Pirates will continue exercising caution with Hayes, considering his bright future and the team's lack of competitiveness in 2021.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Giants' Evan Longoria: Notches rare steal
Longoria went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Dodgers.
The third baseman drew a walk and stole second base in the fourth inning. He also reached on an error in the sixth, which led to San Francisco's lone run scored by Mike Yastrzemski. Longoria's stolen base Friday was his first since the 2019 season -- he went 0-for-1 on the basepaths in 2020. After a hot start, the 35-year-old has noticeably cooled off in May with a .190/.292/.286 slash line in his last 18 games.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Slams two home runs
McMahon went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 7-1 win over the Diamondbacks.
McMahon homered off Seth Frankoff in the first inning and then again off Riley Smith in the fifth inning. Friday marked his second multi-homer game -- he had a three-home run contest April 6. The infielder now has 11 long balls, tying five others for third best in the National League. In addition, McMahon leads the Rockies in hits (44), RBI (29) and runs (30). The 26-year-old is slashing .257/.304/.509 in 184 plate appearances.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Goes yard twice Friday
Riley went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 20-1 rout of the Pirates.
The third baseman led the charge as Atlanta racked up seven homers and 14 extra-base hits while putting at least one run on the board in every inning except the third. Riley is hitting .324 (22-for-68) in May and has gone deep four times in the last five games, pushing his slash line on the season to an impressive .310/.410/.503 with seven home runs and 15 RBI through 45 contests.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Phillies' Jean Segura: Launches two-run shot
Segura went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's loss against the Red Sox.
Segura launched his third long ball of the season off Martin Perez, and the star second baseman has reached base at least twice in three of his last five appearances. He's hit safely in five of his last seven contests and has hit .320 across 53 at-bats this month.
