Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Progressing in recovery
Muncy (oblique) is pain-free and remains on-track for a minimum stay on the injured list, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
With his current trajectory, Muncy could return Tuesday during what's likely to be a hotly-contested series against the Padres. Though he endured a 3-for-21 stretch in eight games before the injury, Muncy still boasts a .418 OBP and has undoubtedly been one of the Dodgers' most impactful bats this season.

Cardinals' Edmundo Sosa: Diagnosed with hand contusion
Sosa underwent X-rays after leaving Wednesday's game against the Marlins that came back negative and revealed a right hand contusion, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.
Sosa was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday and needed several minutes to regroup before heading to first base. Although he remained in the game initially, he was replaced at second base to begin the eighth inning. The 25-year-old is considered day-to-day following his diagnosis.

Cardinals' Edmundo Sosa: Exits after HBP
Sosa left Wednesday's game against the Marlins in the top of the eighth inning after he was hit by a pitch on his right wrist, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Sosa appeared to be in considerable pain after he took a pitch to his right hand in the bottom of the seventh inning, but he was initially able to stay in the game. However, he was replaced defensively to begin the eighth inning. The exact nature and severity of the 25-year-old's injury aren't yet clear. He went 1-for-2 with a base hit and his third stolen base of the season before departing.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Reds' Mike Moustakas: Rehab assignment shut down
Moustakas (heel) has returned to Cincinnati after he experienced some soreness in Tuesday's rehab game with Triple-A Louisville, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
The Reds were hopeful that Moustakas could be reinstated from the injured list during their upcoming road trip in San Diego, but manager David Bell says that's now unlikely following the infielder's setback, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports. It's not yet clear when Moustakas will be able to return to game action, but Kyle Farmer and Mike Freeman could continue to see increased playing time during the weekend series against the Padres.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: On bench Wednesday
McMahon isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
McMahon nearly hit for the cycle Tuesday when he went 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple, four RBI and two runs in the win over San Diego, but he'll get a breather in the series finale. Joshua Fuentes will take over at third base and bat sixth.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Receiving maintenance day
Arenado is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
According to Jones, manager Mike Shildt indicated that Arenado is receiving a routine breather while the Cardinals and Marlins conclude their series with a day game after a night game. Matt Carpenter will fill in at third base for Arenado, who has gone 0-for-11 over the past three games to drop his season average to .273.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Phillies' Jean Segura: Set to miss time with groin issue
Manager Joe Girardi said after Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Dodgers that Segura was removed in the ninth inning due to a left groin strain, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports. "I'm not so confident that's day to day," Girardi said, regarding Segura's injury.
Beyond ruling Segura out for Wednesday's series finale, Girardi didn't explicitly say that the infielder would miss additional time, but the manager's comments would seemingly point to Segura landing on the 10-day injured list. Segura went 1-for-5 in Tuesday's contest before exiting when he came up limping down the baseline while attempting to beat out a throw after grounding out to first base. The lower-body injury is Segura's second of the season, as the 31-year-old previously missed 15 games in late April and early May with a quadriceps strain. The Phillies could turn to Brad Miller, Luke Williams or Triple-A Lehigh Valley infielder Nick Maton to pick up regular starts at second base if Segura moves to the IL once again.

Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN
Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Out of Wednesday's lineup
Suarez isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Brewers, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Suarez will get a rare day off after he went 2-for-12 with a home run, five RBI and two runs across the last three games. Mike Freeman will take over at third base and bat eighth.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Monster game against Padres
McMahon went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run, a triple, three RBI and two runs in Tuesday's win over the Padres.
McMahon took Yu Darvish deep in the sixth inning, but he also delivered an RBI triple in the fourth and a sac fly in the bottom of the seventh. The second baseman has hit safely in six of his last seven contests and has gone yard three times over his last five games. McMahon has been a bright spot for the Rockies offensively this season, hitting .261 with 16 homers and 43 RBI thus far.

Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA
Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Scores off bench Tuesday
Wisdom, who entered the game when Kris Bryant (hand) left in the first inning, went 1-for-3 with a run scored in Tuesday's loss to the Mets.
Bryant took a pitch off his right hand in his first plate appearance and left the game, though X-rays later came back negative and he was diagnosed with a contusion. Wisdom has been a pleasant surprise for the Cubs and could see an uptick in playing time if Bryant misses a few games to nurse his injury, but it doesn't seem like a serious issue, so the former should remain in a reserve role moving forward.
