    He doubled off Nick Neidert in the fourth inning, driving in Tyler Stephenson. Farmer is riding an eight-game hitting streak and has at least one hit in 24 of his last 26 games. The 30-year-old is slashing .264/.323/.412 with 11 home runs, 45 RBI and 45 runs scored in 401 plate appearances.

    Arenado went 2-for-5 with a double, a run, two RBI and two strikeouts in Thursday's 8-4 triumph over the Brewers.

    Arenado plated a run with a first-inning double and singled home another before coming around to score in the fifth help the Cardinals put up a five spot. The slugging third baseman broke a two-game hitless stretch with the solid outing, and he's sporting an excellent .378 on base over his last eight games.

    Reds' Nick Senzel: Option reversed by Reds

    Senzel (knee) had his option reversed by the Reds on Thursday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

    Senzel was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Sunday after he was reinstated from the 60-day injured list, but he was examined by several doctors this week who discovered fluid on his left knee. As a result, the 26-year-old will now revert to the big-league injured list, and he'll head to Arizona to continue his rehab process.

    Dodgers' Max Muncy: Goes deep twice in rout

    Muncy went 2-for-3 with two home runs, five RBI, three total runs and a walk in Wednesday's 9-0 victory over Pittsburgh.

    Muncy kicked off the Dodgers' power display with a two-run homer to left field in the first inning. He struck again in the fourth, blasting a three-run shot to right. The 30-year-old has been red hot at the plate over his past four games, collecting five home runs and 10 RBI along with three walks. He ranks second in the National League with 28 long balls on the campaign.

    Braves' Austin Riley: Continues second-half surge

    Riley went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI in Wednesday's 11-9 win over Miami.

    Though he was overshadowed by teammate Freddie Freeman hitting for his second career cycle, Riley once again delighted fantasy managers with another excellent box-score line. Since the All-Star break, Riley has performed like one of the majors' top hitters, slashing .352/.413/.696 with 12 home runs, 33 RBI and 27 runs in 32 contests.

    Pirates' Rodolfo Castro: Takes seat Wednesday

    Castro is on the bench for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.

    Castro has gone 1-for-10 with eight strikeouts in his last three games, and he's hit just .188 in 16 games since the beginning of August. Wilmer Difo is playing second base and batting sixth Wednesday.

    The 27-year-old went 0-for-4 on Tuesday and is now hitting .313 with six doubles and three RBI in his last 10 games. Hoy Park is playing shortstop and leading off Wednesday.

    Sosa went 5-for-14 with two runs while starting each of the past four games for the Cardinals, but he appears set to move back into a full-time bench role after everyday shortstop Paul DeJong (back) was cleared to return from a three-game absence.
