Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Still being evaluated
Hayes' back injury is still being evaluated and there remains no timetable for his return, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
The third baseman has been on the 10-day injured list on two occasions this season with back problems and the Pirates are still trying to get a better handle on the injury. Hayes is expected to return at some point during September, but his timeline lacks specificity. The 27-year-old is sporting a lowly .233/.283/.290 batting line this season.

Giants' Matt Chapman: Clubs homer in win
Chapman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers.

Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Resting Tuesday
Arenado is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Reds' Jeimer Candelario: Still feeling discomfort
Reds manager David Bell said Tuesday that Candelario is still feeling pain in his fractured left great toe, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
It's not a surprise to hear considering he's just a week removed from landing on the 10-day injured list, but it emphasizes that Candelario is not close to a return. The Reds presumably won't allow him to resume baseball activities until he's pain-free, and after that he'll need a little time to get ramped back up.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Swats decisive homer
McMahon went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 win against Miami.
McMahon had the only extra-base hit by either team in the contest, and it was a big one, as his sixth-inning, 438-foot solo shot broke a 2-2 tie and ended up providing the decisive margin of victory. The long ball snapped a 20-game homerless streak for the infielder, and he had batted a meager .155 with a 31.3 percent strikeout rate during the power drought. McMahon now has 17 home runs overall this season, putting him on pace to reach the 20-homer mark for the fourth consecutive campaign.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Cubs' Isaac Paredes: Goes deep in easy win
Paredes went 2-for-5 with a walk, a home run, two additional runs scored and two total RBI in Monday's 18-8 win over the Pirates.
Paredes helped pile on to the rout, launching his 19th home run of the season in the eighth inning. The 25-year-old has recorded three of those long balls in 24 games for the Cubs since coming over in a late July trade, and he's batting .161 for his new team. That's not exactly what fantasy managers had in mind, but Paredes should continue to see regular playing time, and he has the talent to turn things around in a hurry.
