    Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado launched a two-run home run in the second inning of Monday's 8-2 win over the Rangers, extending his hitting streak to 25 games. He finished 1 for 2 with two walks, a run scored and two RBI.

    Arenado has raised his slash-line from .200/.216/.400 to .313/.336/.515 during his current 25-game hit-streak. He has homered twice and plated in six runs in his last three games.

He also extended his hitting streak to 23 games while continuing to serve as a force in the middle of the Rockies lineup. Arenado has hit .313/.326/.492 with five home runs and 20 RBI in 128 at-bats.

    Asche knocked his home run in the fourth inning to give his team a 4-0 lead, and it was his first long ball since his season debut in March. He has hit .221/.293/.368 with two home runs and seven RBI in 68 at-bats.

    Olt is in a bit of a slump, with just four hits over his last 10 games. He'll be replaced by Luis Valbuena at third. Valbuena will hit second in the order. Olt is hitting .164 in 61 at-bats.

    Jean Segura back in Brewers lineup

    As expected, Brewers shortstop Jean Segura is back in the lineup for the Thursday night game against the host Reds. He has not started since teammate Ryan Braun nailed him in the face with the bat on a practice swing Saturday.

    Segura, who has pinch-hit twice since then, is batting .244, which is 50 points under the average he compiled in 2013.

    During his hitting streak, Arenado is batting .358 (29 for 81) with a .506 slugging percentage and .875 OPS. He has two home runs, six doubles, nine RBI, 11 runs, two walks, seven strikeouts and one stolen base in that span.

    Nationals infielder Anthony Rendon delivered a huge line Wednesday, going 4 for 5 with two doubles, one home run, two runs scored and three RBI in his team's 7-0 win over the Astros.

    Rendon knocked in two runs with a fourth-inning double then clubbed a solo home run in the sixth inning as part of his second four-hit game in the span of a week. He has hit .316/.352/.544 with four home runs and 20 RBI in 114 at-bats.

    Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said shortstop Jean Segura (eye) should be back in the starting lineup Thursday at Cincinnati. Aramis Ramirez (elbow) said he expects to return to the lineup Thursday as well, per MLB.com.
