Ramirez went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and a stolen base in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Yankees.

Ramirez has been a major thorn in the Yankees' side, notching two home runs and a steal in the series opener before adding this performance in the next game. He provided exactly half of his team's eight hits and two runs scored in this narrow 2-1 victory and is now slashing an impressive .306/.360/.534 with 43 doubles and 15 steals.

Donaldson is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Red Sox.

After seeing time at shortstop in four games earlier this month, Donaldson has retreated back to the hot corner for the last week. His bat has been the bigger story this month, however, as he has 12 home runs and 27 RBI in 95 August at-bats. Darwin Barney will start at third base and hit seventh.

Alvarez is being considered for a September callup, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Inked to a minor-league deal in March, Alvarez was all set to opt out in late May but the Orioles convinced him to stay put. It sounds like his patience may pay off, as Alvarez is in the mix to come up and provide additional thump off the bench over the season's final month. The 30-year-old has hit just .241 with a .296 on-base percentage with Triple-A Norfolk this year, but the trademark power is still there (26 homers in 584 plate appearances).

Segura is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

Ben Gamel will lead off as Taylor Motter mans short with Segura on the bench following 25 consecutive starts. Segura has been slumping of late, managing just four hits in his last 39 at-bats. He's also seen a precipitous drop in power this season -- Segura has just two homers over the last two months -- as many expected when he was traded from Arizona to Seattle. However, the 27-year-old's batting average and OBP for the season are still strong, so his spot atop the order should be secure.

Bregman went 3-for-5 with an RBI in a blowout loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.

Bregman's somewhat quietly been one of the league's most productive hitters for the past month; dating back to July 30, he's posted a .357/.408/.634 batting line with six homers, 22 RBI and five steals over his last 28 games. That's helped him lift his season average to .288, and while Bregman's season-long counting stats aren't all that impressive, he's clearly developing into the high-end hitter everyone expected him to become. Even worse news for the rest of the league: He's only 23 years old.

Ramirez won't play Tuesday after the Indians' game against the Yankees was postponed due to rain, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

The two teams will make up Tuesday's contest as part of a doubleheader Wednesday. After a recent 1-for-18 skid at the plate over a five-game stretch earlier in August, Ramirez seems to have settled back into a groove, turning in multi-hit efforts in three of his last five appearances.

Valencia went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs in Monday's 7-6 loss to the Orioles.

Valencia's 419-foot shot to center in the second opened the scoring on the night and was his first round tripper since Aug. 6. The veteran has also reached double-digit RBI for the fourth straight month and retains a solid chance of surpassing his career highs in homers (18) and RBI (72) with over a month left in the season.

Chapman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run -- his 10th of the year -- and three runs in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Rangers.

The rookie continues to swing a hot bat as August comes to a close, as he now has eight multi-hit efforts this month. Chapman went 6-for-11 over the weekend series against the Rangers and sports a .301/.372/.566 line in August.

Escobar will start at third base and bat eighth Sunday against the Blue Jays, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Escobar will stick in the lineup for a 13th straight game, with Miguel Sano's (shin) move to the disabled list affording the infielder regular at-bats. Since reclaiming a starting role, Escobar is batting .271 with two home runs, nine RBI and five runs, so he could carry value in deeper mixed leagues and AL-only formats until Sano returns from the DL.

Urshela is not in the lineup for Sunday game against the Royals.

After starting five consecutive games last week, Urshela will head to the bench for the second straight game as the Indians close out their series against Erik Skoglund and the Royals. Urshela should continue to see a good amount of playing time while Jason Kipnis (hamstring) remains on the disabled list. Yandy Diaz will start at third base and bat seventh Sunday.
