Devers is not in the lineup Sunday against the Astros, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.

Mired in a 2-for-20 slump over his past five starts, Devers will be given the day off to clear his head in the series finale against the reigning World Series champs. Eduardo Nunez takes over at the hot corner in his stead.

Machado went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo homer in Saturday's loss to the Yankees.

Machado took Masahiro Tanaka deep in the sixth inning, hitting his third home run in the last four games and 18th on the season. The 25-year-old is now hitting an impressive .327/.398/.633 with 47 RBI, 32 runs and a pair of stolen bases this season.

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Bregman took advantage of a David Price cutter that caught too much of the plate to hit his sixth homer of the season and gave the Astros a 3-1 third-inning lead. The young third baseman had slumped over the past week, hitting .161 (5-for-31) with no RBI over the last seven games. Fortunately, even during times of a slump, Bregman provides some value with his on-base ability. He walked four times during his slump and has a team-high 36 free passes, which puts him in position to score runs with Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa hitting behind him. Bregman scored six times during his seven-game slump and is fourth on the Astros with 30 runs scored.

Candelario went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's win over the Blue Jays.

Candelario led the bottom of the first inning off with a homer -- his ninth of the season -- putting the Tigers up 1-0 while extending his hitting streak to six games. The 24-year-old is now hitting a solid .274/.363/.531 with 28 runs and 24 RBI through 46 games this season.

Moncada went 1-for-4 and had his sixth stolen base in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Brewers.

Moncada has been invisible since coming off the disabled list May 15. He entered Saturday having hit .206 with a .551 OPS over 74 plate appearances in 17 games since being activated. On a slightly more positive note, Moncada's stolen base was the third attempt in the last five games after going 26 games without an attempt.

Duffy went 3-for-5 with a game-tying RBI single in an extra-innings loss to the Mariners on Friday.

The hot-hitting infielder laced a clutch single to left in the ninth, plating Joey Wendle to ultimately send the game into extra innings. It was Duffy's second three-hit effort over the last three contests, and both his current average (.319) and on-base percentage (.356) represent career bests.

Devers went 0-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Astros, dropping his batting average to a season-low .230.

Devers is hitting just .157 (15-for-90) with 26 strikeouts over his last 25 games. This is the first stretch of adversity the young third baseman has faced since the Red Sox called him up last summer. Opponents appear to have figured him out and it's up to Devers and the Red Sox to adjust. With Eduardo Nunez on the roster, manager Alex Cora could give Devers more downtime to figure it out, although that depends on how second baseman Dustin Pedroia responds to a recent flareup of knee soreness.

Escobar went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 7-4 win over Cleveland.

After going 19 games without a homer through most of May, Escobar has suddenly found his power stroke, going yard three times in the last two games to give him 10 home runs on the year along with a .272/.327/.523 slash line. The 29-year-old was streaky in his breakout 2017 campaign as well, so don't be surprised if he continues putting up big numbers through the weekend.

Machado went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and one walk in Friday's loss to the Yankees.

Machado accounted for Baltimore's only run on the night, as he belted a home run off Sonny Gray in the first inning. He's picked up a hit in each of his last six games, and he's batting .329 with 17 home runs and 46 RBI through 57 games this season.

Donaldson (calf) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Donaldson tested his injured calf before Friday's game and clearly it did not respond well. Lefty reliever Tim Mayza was recalled in a corresponding roster move while Yangervis Solarte appears set to take over at third base, although the Blue Jays could decide to promote top prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. if Donaldson needs more than the minimum 10 days. Donaldson's stint was backdated to May 29.
