Rays' Evan Longoria: Gets 86th RBI in finale

Longoria went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored in Sunday's 6-0 win over the Orioles.

Longoria did his damage during a five-run eighth inning, driving in the frame's first run before eventually scoring from third thanks to Trevor Plouffe's bases-loaded walk. The soon-to-be 32-year-old third baseman finishes the season with a .261/.313/.424 line.

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Interested in signing extension with Jays

Donaldson expressed interest in signing a contract extension with the Blue Jays while talking to reporters on Sunday, according to Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com.

"I've made it known to our front office that I enjoy being a Toronto Blue Jay, that I enjoy my time here," Donaldson said. "If it's a possibility, I would definitely enjoy being a Blue Jay for a long time. I'm not going to sit here and try to force their hand, and they're not going to sit here and force mine." Donaldson finished the season on a high note after battling a calf injury in the first half, hitting .276/.386/.606 with 24 homers and 53 RBI in 67 games after the All-Star break. Donaldson will go to arbitration for the final time this offseason, so the Jays have one year of control remaining if they want to keep him without making a long-term commitment.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Remains on bench Sunday

Segura isn't in the lineup Sunday against the Angels.

Gordon Beckham will draw another start at shortstop as Segura remains on the bench for Seattle's season finale against the Angels. Segura recently dealt with a hurt finger, but there's no reason to believe that it's acting up again. Instead, it looks like the Mariners are simply being careful with the 27-year-old. Segura played in 125 games for the Mariners this season and hit .300/.349/.427 while stealing 22 bases.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Out of Sunday lineup

Bregman isn't in the lineup Sunday against Boston.

Over the last seven games, Bregman has gone 12-for-31 (.387) with three home runs and 11 RBI. His recent surge at the plate is coming at the right time as Houston is set to begin postseason play Thursday against the Red Sox. J.D. Davis will start at the hot corner in Bregman's place Sunday.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Indians' Giovanny Urshela: Out of Sunday lineup

Urshela is out of the lineup Sunday against the White Sox.

Over the last seven games, Urshela has gone just 3-for-17 (.176), bringing his batting average down to .224 for the year. He'll give way to Yandy Diaz at the hot corner Sunday. Diaz and Urshela have shared time at third base fairly evenly recently, so it remains to be seen who will be Cleveland's primary option when the Indians begin the playoffs.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Out of Sunday lineup

Donaldson is out of the lineup Sunday against the Yankees.

Donaldson will give way to Darwin Barney at the hot corner Sunday afternoon. Donaldson dealt with injuries throughout the year and was only able to play in 113 games. He was extremely efficient in that time, as he slugged 33 home runs and notched 78 RBI. However, he did experience a dip in terms of average, as he hit .270 this season, down from his 2016 mark of .284.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Back on bench Saturday

Segura is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Gordon Beckham will man shortstop as Ben Gamel leads off against right-hander Ricky Nolasco. Segura just returned to the Mariners' lineup Friday after missing four games with a finger injury, finishing 3-for-3 with a double and a stolen base. There has been no word of any kind of setback with the finger -- the Mariners just have no reason to push it at this stage of the game.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Out of Saturday's lineup

Candelario is out of Saturday's lineup against the Twins.

He returned from a wrist injury Friday, but heads back to the bench in the penultimate game of the season. Nick Castellanos will start at third base and hit third.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Rays' Evan Longoria: Not in Saturday's lineup

Longoria is out of the lineup against Baltimore on Saturday.

Despite homering Friday, Longoria will receive a day off following four straight starts. In his place, Daniel Robertson will pick up a start at the hot corner.

Rays' Evan Longoria: Smacks 20th home run in win

Longoria went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 7-0 win over the Orioles.

Longoria went deep for the second time in the last six contests and reached the 20-homer mark for the fifth consecutive season. The 31-year-old has seen a general power downturn in 2017, but he's at least enjoyed a bit of a resurgence in that department in September. After blasting just one round tripper in August, he's tripled that figure this month.
