  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Records home run No. 14

Ramirez went 1-for-2 with three walks, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored Tuesday against the Cubs.

Ramirez took Tyler Chatwood deep in the third inning to jump-start the Indians' offense to a 10-run effort Tuesday. It was his 14th home run of the season, and seventh for the month. He continues to impress in every way possible at the plate, ranking among the American League leaders in several different statistics, including home runs, RBI, runs scored and OPS.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Set for rehab stint

Candelario (wrist) will join Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday to begin a rehab assignment, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Candelario is set to play at least three games with the Mud Hens, and if all goes well he could be cleared to rejoin the Tigers sometime over the weekend. The 24-year-old, who is hitting .272/.359/.497 with five homers through 37 games this season, has been on the disabled list since May 14 with left wrist tendinitis. He should reclaim his role as the Tigers' primary third baseman once he returns, likely pushing Niko Goodrum back to a utility role.

  • Danny Valencia 3B | BAL

Orioles' Danny Valencia: Heads to bench Tuesday

Valencia is out of the lineup Tuesday against the White Sox, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

As has been the case recently, Valencia will give way to Jace Peterson at the hot corner with a right-hander in James Shields toeing the rubber for the opposition.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: May need rehab assignment

Candelario (wrist) is nearly ready to return to game action but may need a brief rehab appearance, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

The Tigers are currently undecided on whether or not he should head directly back to the big leagues or get some action in the minors first. Prior to hitting the disabled list with wrist tendinitis, the young third baseman was hitting a solid .272/.359/.497 through 37 games.

  • Drew Robinson 3B | TEX

Rangers' Drew Robinson: Activated and demoted

Robinson (hip) was activated from the disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.

Robinson didn't do enough for the Rangers prior to his injury to merit a return to the big leagues. He hit just .175/.258/.238 in 89 plate appearances and struck out 50.6 percent of the time. With the ability to play both middle infield and center field, he has multiple routes back to the big leagues, but nothing in his track record suggests he'll be a viable fantasy option if and when he returns.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Laces game-winning hit Sunday

Segura went 2-for-5 with a game-winning RBI single in an extra-innings victory over the Tigers on Sunday. He was also caught stealing on his only attempt.

Segura laced a hit to right field with none out in the 11th inning that plated Dee Gordon, sending the Mariners home winners. The 28-year-old seems to only be heating up as the season unfolds, as he's now hitting .346 in May following his eighth multi-hit effort in the last 11 games Sunday.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Rays' Matt Duffy: Raps out three hits Sunday

Duffy went 3-for-4 with a double in a loss to the Angels on Sunday.

The hot-hitting infielder had gone 0-for-3 with two walks in his return from a three-game absence due to a hamstring injury Saturday, so Sunday's effort was considerably more productive. Duffy is now hitting an impressive .358 in May and slashing .328/.365/.438 over 137 plate appearances overall, with all three components of his line representing career bests. The 27-year-old is accomplishing his stellar numbers despite a career-high 24.1 percent strikeout rate, as a seemingly unsustainable .426 BABIP has played a considerable role in his early success.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Records three hits

Chapman went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one walk and two runs scored Sunday in the win over the Blue Jays.

Chapman's batting average has been on the rise of late, as he's improved from .225 to .254 over his last 10 games. He's also displayed impressive power, recording 19 extra-base hits and 21 RBI on the year. The 25-year-old third baseman will look to stay hot as the Athletics begin a three-game series with the Mariners starting Tuesday.

  • Drew Robinson 3B | TEX

Rangers' Drew Robinson: Begins rehab assignment Sunday

Robinson (hip) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on Sunday.

Robinson will serve as Frisco's designated hitter in his first minor-league rehab game. The Rangers haven't announced how many rehab games Robinson will need to appear in before returning to the majors, but he could conceivably be back in the majors during the coming week. He's been out since May 5 with left hip soreness.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Astros' J.D. Davis: Returns to majors

Davis was recalled from Triple-A Fresno on Sunday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic Houston reports.

Davis spent the first two weeks of the season in the big leagues but was optioned back to Fresno when Yulieski Gurriel returned from the disabled list April 12. Davis has been on fire in Triple-A recently, slashing an incredible .415/.473/.654. He'll likely operate as a bench bat or in the occasional designated hitter role for the time being.
