  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Launches seventh home run

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Thursday against the Rangers.

Bregman chased Cole Hamels from the game in the eighth inning after he got a hold of his seventh home run of the season. His two-hit effort extended his hitting streak to six games, during which he has two home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. Though he doesn't standout in one particular category, Bregman continues to provide solid production across the board.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Scores twice Thursday

Candelario went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.

Since returning from a wrist injury toward the end of May, Candelario is batting .277 with four home runs, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in 14 games. As long as he stays healthy, the 24-year-old third baseman should continue to be a solid fantasy contributor as one of Detroit's key offensive pieces.

  • Twins' Eduardo Escobar: Drills 12th home run

Escobar went 2-for-4 with a home run Thursday, driving in two runs in a 7-2 win against the White Sox.

Escobar is slashing a strong .286/.340/.562 with 12 long balls and an MLB-leading 24 doubles. The 29-year-old infielder has caught fire in June, going 11-for-26 with five doubles and four home runs. If Escobar continues batting anywhere near this level for the rest of the year, he should surpass nearly all of his career highs.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Could return Friday

Donaldson (calf) will be eligible to return from the 10-day DL on Friday but manager John Gibbons admitted that he's unsure if the third baseman will be activated immediately, Mike Wilner of BlueJaysTalk reports.

It sounds like Donaldson will be back at some point this weekend, but anything more than that is fairly unknown at this point. One thing that Gibbons did reiterate was that Donaldson will be the everyday third baseman upon his reinstatement, which indicates that the club isn't going to rush him back unless he's as close as possible to full health. Expect an update on his status prior to Friday's game.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: In Thursday's lineup

Candelario (finger) will bat fifth and start at third base for Thursday's series finale against Boston.

Candelario suffered a jammed right middle finger during Tuesday's contest but will return to the starting nine after sitting out Wednesday. Over the course of 50 games this season, Candelario is hitting .267/.361/.513 with nine home runs and 26 RBI.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Another full box score Wednesday

Segura went 3-for-5 with an RBI single, a stolen base and a run in a loss to the Astros on Wednesday.

As good as he's been offensively over the previous two seasons in particular, Segura is seemingly on another level in 2018. Wednesday's multi-hit effort -- his second consecutive and sixth over the last nine games -- brought his season line to an impressive .339/.358/.486, with the first two figures qualifying as team bests. Moreover, his 39 RBI place him second behind only Mitch Haniger on the Mariners, and they're also just six shy of the total he amassed last season in 302 additional plate appearances. Segura has even improved in his proficiency on the basepaths, as his current 81.3 percent stolen-base success rate represents an eight-point improvement over last season's total.

  • Drew Maggi 3B | PIT

Indians' Drew Maggi: Back from suspension

Maggi was activated from suspension Wednesday.

Maggi will join Triple-A Columbus after serving a 50-game suspension for testing positive for Amphetamine. The 29-year-old, who has yet to reach the majors, hit .271/.367/.392 across 84 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City in 2017.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Absent from lineup Wednesday

Candelario (finger) isn't in Wednesday's starting lineup against Boston.

Candelario left Tuesday's game early with a jammed right middle finger, and the injury is likely still bothering him, as Ronny Rodriguez is penciled into the lineup at third base. Candelario will be available off the bench if needed and figures to return within the next few days.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Hits eighth home run

Moncada went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, a stolen base and a solo home run in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Moncada started the game with a 433-foot bomb to center field in the top of the first inning, and his stolen base in the fifth helped manufacture another run. The 23-year-old now has a .247/.327/.444 slash line with eight home runs, seven stolen bases and 75 strikeouts in 198 at-bats this season.

  • Twins' Eduardo Escobar: Drives home five in doublheader

Escobar went 5-for-8 with three doubles, a home run and five RBI across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox.

Escobar powered the Twins' offense Tuesday, driving home all but two of their runs in the doubleheader. The 29-year-old is 12-for-28 with five doubles, four home runs and 13 RBI over his last seven games.
