Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Strikes out against former mates
Moncada has gone hitless with five strikeouts in eight at-bats in the first two games of the series against his former team, the Red Sox.
Moncada's slump extends beyond the present series, so it's not just a matter of the opponent's familiarity with him. The second baseman has one hit in his last 19 at-bats, during which he's fanned 10 times (52.6 K%).

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Producing runs
Bregman went 1-for-4 with a run-producing double and a run scored in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rangers.
Bregman's bat has been sizzling of late, as the third baseman has hit safely in eight straight while scoring eight runs and knocking in eight during the streak. He's following a similar path as last season, when he started slowly before picking it up in the second half. The major difference this season: His bat has picked up, and he's getting on base with more consistency earlier in 2018.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Walks it off in style Saturday
Candelario hit a walkoff, two-run home run Saturday against the Indians. He finished the day 1-for-6 with two RBI and two strikeouts.
The 24-year-old came through in the clutch after starting off 0-for-5 prior to his fateful 12th-inning at-bat that ended in a home run off Cody Allen. Candelario is now up to 10 home runs through 205 at-bats and is hitting .241 since coming off the disabled list May 25.

Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Rays' Matt Duffy: Bat remains hot in June
Duffy, who went 2-for-4 in a loss to the Mariners on Friday, is hitting .346 (9-for-26) with a double, a triple and an RBI over his first seven games of June.
The red-hot infielder has compiled a trio of multi-hit efforts already as well, and he's now pushed his season line to an impressive .316/.355/.406. While Duffy's power numbers remain decidedly modest (two home runs), the 27-year-old is getting on base consistently, and perhaps just as important, remaining healthy after missing all of 2017.

Astros' Alex Bregman: Homers, scores twice in win Friday
Bregman went 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk and two runs in a win Friday over the Rangers.
Bregman hit a solo home run -- his eighth of the year -- off starter Doug Fister in the fifth inning. It was Bregman's second straight day hitting a home run, and he's now registered a hit in seven consecutive games. The 24-year-old is slashing .268/.379/.448 with 30 RBI and 35 runs scored, while also tallying 19 doubles on the year (which tie him for second among all MLB third basemen).

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Records 40th RBI of year
Segura went 1-for-4 with a double, a run, an RBI, a walk and a stolen base in Friday's win over the Rays.
Segura swiped his 14th base of the year -- which is tied for fifth in the majors -- but he was also caught stealing and picked off in the game. Segura has recorded a hit in 12 of his last 13 games, and is now hitting .340 with 47 runs scored (both of which lead all MLB shortstops) and an even 40 RBI.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Remains out of lineup
Donaldson (calf) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against Baltimore.
Donaldson was eligible to return from the 10-day DL on Friday, but it doesn't look as though he will be activated after being left off the lineup card. The third baseman was unsure if he'd be ready when asked about his availability Thursday, and manager John Gibbons echoed his sentiment, adding that he will likely need a couple more days to sort things out. There's a chance Donaldson won't be back until the beginning of next week, but expect more updates on his status this weekend.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Athletics' Matt Chapman: Rips run-scoring double in win
Chapman went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a run in a win over the Royals on Thursday.
The 25-year-old's sixth-inning two-bagger plated Khris Davis and snapped a 1-1 tie, giving the Athletics a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Chapman had gone hitless over the prior two games, but he's enjoying a solid start to June overall. Factoring in Thursday's production, he is hitting .273 with a pair of RBI over his first six contests of the month, an early and significant improvement over the dreadful .186 average he generated during May.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Bounces back Thursday
Moncada went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Twins.
One night after going 0-for-5 with five strikeouts, Moncada made contact in all four plate appearances Thursday. Moncada has hit safely in 17 of his last 23 games but is batting just .215 over that stretch and .242 for the season, despite a generous .347 average on balls in play. Making contact remains an issue for the 23-year-old second baseman, who has struck out in nearly 34 percent of his plate appearances.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Launches seventh home run
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Thursday against the Rangers.
Bregman chased Cole Hamels from the game in the eighth inning after he got a hold of his seventh home run of the season. His two-hit effort extended his hitting streak to six games, during which he has two home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. Though he doesn't standout in one particular category, Bregman continues to provide solid production across the board.
