Candelario went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.
Candelario needed some positive vibes at the plate, as he entered the contest in a 2-for-20 slump, which included four straight hitless efforts. The 24-year-old's average has dipped to .243, though he still has a solid .808 OPS and should continue to get regular playing time in a Detroit lineup that doesn't have a ton of offensive weapons.

Segura went 3-for-4 with a run scored and was caught stealing during Tuesday's 3-2 win over in Baltimore.
Segura put forth yet another multi-hit effort Tuesday, his major-league leading 33rd such performance this season. The 28-year-old has a .337/.364/.479 slash line with six home runs, 53 runs, 44 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 303 at-bats in 2018.

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Will attempt to hit Thursday
Chapman received a cortisone shot in his hand and will attempt to hit Thursday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chroniclereports.
Chapman's status essentially remains as-is for now, and the next step in his recovery will be determined based on how much he is able to do Thursday. It remains to be seen if he will need a rehab assignment before rejoining the A's.

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Suffers setback in recovery
Donaldson suffered a setback with his injured left calf and will be reevaluated in three weeks, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Donaldson had a shot to rejoin the Blue Jays before the end of June, but he aggravated his calf injury while taking groundballs at the Blue Jays' spring training complex, and will now likely be out at least another month. The Blue Jays figure to provide more details on Donaldson's status in the near future.

Mariners' Jean Segura: Racking up multi-hit efforts at impressive pace
Segura returned from a four-game absence due to a forearm infection Monday and drew a pair of walks over five plate appearances. He has 32 multi-hit efforts in 2018 and leads the majors with 14 three-plus-hit games, Jeff Seidel of MLB.com reports.
Segura couldn't add to his tally Monday, but he boasts 20 multi-hit efforts in his last 38 games alone. The star shortstop was deemed ready to go by manager Scott Servais after breezing through his pregame work without any issues Monday, with his return naturally a welcome sight considering the pivotal role he plays near the top of the order. Segura's current .331 average is a career high, while both his .359 on-base percentage and .475 slugging percentage are the second-best figures of his career.

Bregman went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and two RBI in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Blue Jays. He also stole his seventh bag of the season.
Bregman continued his powerful run in the month of June -- he's launches seven home runs while knocking in 22 runs over 21 games. Twelve of his 23 hits this month have gone for extra bases, leading to 18 runs scored.

Mariners' Jean Segura: Returns to lineup
Segura (forearm) is back in the lineup Monday against the Orioles, playing shortstop and batting second, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Segura had missed four straight games while battling a forearm infection. He was having a very strong season prior to the injury, hitting .334/.359/.480 with six homers and 14 steals in 71 games.

Valencia is not in the lineup Monday against the Mariners, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Valencia is hitting a solid .304/.375/.435 over his last 20 games. Tim Beckham (groin) returns from the 60-day disabled list to start at third base in his place. Bekcham is likely to reclaim an everyday role at the position, but Valencia could continue to find himself in the lineup occasionally, especially with Chris Davis in the middle of a terrible season at first base.
