Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Royals' Mike Moustakas: Gets rare day off
Moustakas is not in the lineup Monday against the Angels, 610 Sports Radio reports.
Moustakas will sit for just the third time this season. Alcides Escobar will slide over to third base Monday, with Adalberto Mondesi starting at shortstop.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Athletics' Matt Chapman: Injury pinpointed
Chapman's injury has been more precisely defined as being just above his wrist as opposed to his thumb, and he'll potentially receive a second cortisone shot, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Chapman will see hand specialist Dr. Steven Shin in Los Angeles on Monday for further evaluation and, potentially, a second shot. Slusser also reports Chapman will not be able to join the team during the four-game set against the Tigers that begins Monday, but he'd have a strong chance of returning for the homestand that begins Friday against the Indians if the injection alleviates his current discomfort.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Expected back in lineup Monday
Segura (forearm), who logged a fourth straight absence in Sunday's series finale against the Red Sox, made throws to first base during pregame infield work and is expected back in the lineup Monday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
Manager Scott Servais had deemed Segura available for a pinch-hit role if necessary in Sunday's game, something that never came to fruition, but that serves as corroboration of how close the shortstop is to returning. Segura progressed from flipping the ball underhand to a teammate after taking grounders before Saturday's game to throwing across the diamond Sunday, which was seemingly the final piece of the puzzle in his recovery from the infection that's been ailing him. Final confirmation of Segura's status should come in the hours before the Mariners' series opener against the Orioles on Monday.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Tied for MLB lead with 23rd homer
Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a home run, a stolen base, two runs, one RBI and one walk in Sunday's game against the Tigers.
He is now tied with Mike Trout and J.D. Martinez for the most home runs in baseball with 23. Ramirez is also one of six players with 50-plus runs and 50-plus RBI, is hitting .296 and has 12 steals, meaning he is on pace to finish as a first-round-caliber player in fantasy.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Drives in six runs Sunday
Moncada went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a double, six RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 10-3 victory over Oakland.
What a day for Moncada as he set a new single-game career high with the six runs driven in. He also reached double-digit home runs on the season Sunday. The 21-year-old infielder is slashing .228/.299/.408 with 32 RBI and 35 runs scored in 272 at-bats. He's also struck out 106 times, which seems to be one of the things limiting him from reaching his full potential.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Remains out Sunday
Segura (forearm) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Make it four straight absences for Segura, who is battling an infection in his right forearm. While he remains day-to-day, a trip to the disabled list will be on the table if the infection doesn't clear up in the coming days. Andrew Romine once again gets the nod at shortstop.

Randy Cesar 3B | MIN
Astros' Randy Cesar: Hit streak at 40
Cesar went 1-for-4 for Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday to extend his hitting streak to 40 games, the longest by any player in Texas League history.
On Thursday, Cesar broke a 49-year-old league record held by Bobby Trevino, who had a 37-game streak with El Paso in 1969, and he continues to set a new high nightly. The 23-year-old, who's not on anyone's prospect radar, is slashing .354/.391/.537 in his first full season at the Double-A level.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Out again Saturday
Segura is not in the lineup against the Red Sox on Saturday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
Segura will miss a third consecutive game while he recovers from an infection in his right forearm. In his place, Andrew Romine will start at shortstop and bat ninth.
-
Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Orioles' Jace Peterson: Not in Saturday's lineup
Peterson is out of the lineup against Atlanta on Saturday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
The outfielder will remain out of the starting nine for a second straight game while Mark Trumbo gets a start in left field. Over 43 games this year, Peterson is hitting .203/.321/.339 with two home runs, 17 RBI and eight stolen bases.

Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Twins' Eduardo Escobar: In Saturday's lineup
Escobar (elbow) will man third base and bat third in the order against Texas on Saturday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Escobar was forced to begin Friday's game on the bench due to a right elbow bruise, though the 29-year-old entered the contest as a pinch hitter and looks close to full health after a slight scare earlier this week. Over 69 games this year, Escobar is hitting .298 with a .923 OPS.
