Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Homers, drives in three
Candelario went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and three RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.
Candelario got the Tigers on the board early with an RBI ground-rule double in the first inning, then later deposited a two-run shot in the fifth. The 24-year-old suffered through a difficult June and July -- hitting below .200 in both months -- but he's gotten off to a better start since the calendar flipped to August. In 23 at-bats in the month, he's hitting .261/.320/.435 with a pair of extra-base hits and four RBI.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Will be activated Wednesday
Devers (hamstring) will be activated off the 10-day disabled list Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Devers will rejoin the Red Sox in Toronto for Wednesday's game after a short stint on the disabled list. The 21-year-old should make his return to the starting lineup as he was showing progress prior to landing on the shelf, going 7-for-19 in five games.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Gets rare day off
Segura will take a seat Tuesday against the the Rangers, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
The rest will be Segura's first since late June. In 35 games since his last day off, he's hit a modest .243/.282/.321, a stark contrast to the .334/.329/.480 line he posted through his first 71 games. Those two sections of the season are separated by a forearm infection which cost Segura four games. It's not inconceivable that the issue is having lingering effects. Andrew Romine will be the Mariners' shortstop Tuesday.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Homers twice in four-hit effort
Lewis went 4-for-6 with a pair of home runs and five RBI for High-A Fort Myers in its 13-0 win over Lakeland on Monday.
Lewis' stat line is notable even without context, but it's rendered even more impressive in that two of his hits -- including the first of his two long balls -- came off Casey Mize, the Tigers' top pitching prospect and the 2018 No. 1 overall pick. The shortstop has turned in multi-hit efforts in five of his last 10 games and is hitting .329/.418/.506 with three home runs and four steals through his first 21 games in the Florida State League.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Athletics' Matt Chapman: Hard contact keeps coming
Chapman went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a win over the Tigers on Sunday.
Chapman continued blasting the cover off the ball after having laced a three-bagger and solo homer in Saturday's contest. The infielder has hit safely in five straight games overall, and factoring in his production in the shutout win, he's now raised his average 43 points to .271 since May 31.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Close to return
Devers (hamstring) is expected to join the Red Sox in Toronto and be activated off the disabled list when eligible Wednesday, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
Devers will suit up for short-season Lowell on Monday. If all goes well, he'll fly to Toronto to rejoin his Red Sox teammates. He had been hitting .292 with an .827 OPS in his last 19 games before getting hurt.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Swipes 16th base
Segura went 2-for-4 with a run scored and stolen base Sunday against the Blue Jays.
Segura has gone just 8-for-40 across his last 10 games but managed to steal his 16th base of the season. It was only his second save since June -- he's been caught four times -- though he is still ninth in the American League for the season. He's remained in his customary second spot in the Mariners lineup, so even with a pedestrian .338 on-base percentage, he should have run-scoring upside.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Notches 33rd homer
Ramirez went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and two walks Sunday in the 4-3 win over Los Angeles.
Ramirez struck in the first inning for a three-run homer off Deck McGuire. Ramirez has put together a modest six-game hitting streak since Monday, going 10-for-22 with three home runs and eight RBI over that stretch. He continues to put up impressive numbers in 2018, as he's launched 33 home runs and driven in 82 through 109 games.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: To begin rehab stint Monday
Devers (hamstring) will play for short-season Lowell on Monday, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.
Devers is eligible to return from the disabled list Wednesday, so he's expected to get a few minor-league starts prior to being activated. If all goes well, expect the 21-year-old third baseman to come off the shelf after missing the minimum.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Orioles' Jace Peterson: Playing time picks up
Peterson will start in left field and lead off Sunday against the Rangers, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
The Orioles are including Peterson in the lineup for the sixth time in seven games. With a .330 on-base percentage and a 9-for-12 success rate on stolen-base attempts this season, Peterson makes for a serviceable option atop the order, but his lack of power and the dearth of quality talent surrounding him in the lineup puts a cap on his fantasy ceiling.
