Matt Duffy 3B | TEX
Rays' Matt Duffy: Nearing rehab assignment again
Duffy (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Duffy hasn't played at the big-league level all season as he's dealt with multiple setbacks while recovering from a hamstring strain. He spent some time on a rehab assignment in May before being shut down late in the month. He's nearly ready to get back to some game action, but he still isn't particularly close to suiting up in a big-league contest.

Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA
White Sox's Nick Madrigal: Earns organizational honors
Madrigal was named the White Sox's minor-league player of the month for June, Lamond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Madrigal hit .344 with 12 RBI, 17 runs and nine stolen bases during the month, most of that coming after his promotion to Double-A Birmingham on June 6. Other than the typical progression of being exposed to every rung on the organizational ladder, there is little blocking Madrigal's path to a regular gig as the White Sox's everyday second baseman. He could reach Chicago by 2020.

Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Starting again Sunday
Candelario is starting at third base and batting fourth in Sunday's game against the Nationals.

With Dawel Lugo getting sent down to Triple-A, Candelario has a clear path to playing time at third base, provided he performs adequately. The 25-year-old has done well so far in his return to the majors, collecting seven hits in 14 at-bats with a stolen base.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Back from paternity leave
The Indians reinstated Ramirez from the paternity list prior to Sunday's game against the Orioles. He'll start at third base and bat fifth.
Ramirez could have remained away from the Indians for the entire weekend, but he opted to take off only two of the maximum three days to spend with his newborn. He'll thus rejoin the starting nine for the series finale while replacing infielder Yu Chang on the 25-man roster.
