Urias went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored in Thursday's 7-2 loss to Tampa Bay.

The infielder drew the start at third base in place of a resting Maikel Franco for Thursday's contest. With the multi-hit effort, Urias broke free from a 1-for-20 slump over his previous six games. He's up to six homers, eight doubles, 26 RBI, 24 runs, and a stolen base while slashing .262/.338/.398 through 213 plate appearances this year.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday against the White Sox.

Chapman took Dylan Cease yard in the sixth inning for his 19th homer of the season. He's been on a power surge of late, as he's delivered five home runs across his last six games. Despite that strong run, Chapman is still hitting just .226/.320/.405 -- good for a 105 wRC+ -- with 57 RBI and 62 runs scored across 490 plate appearances on the season.

Candelario went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, two RBI and three runs scored in Thursday's loss to the Angels.

Candelario stuffed the stat sheet as part of Detroit's 10-run outburst. The infielder reached double digits in home runs for the second time in his career. He popped a career-high 19 long balls back in 2018, which is also when he registered his high-water mark in RBI with 54. Candelario now has 46 RBI after Thursday's performance, so he has a good shot to top that RBI total if he remains healthy, though he's less likely to do the same in home runs.

LeMahieu isn't starting Thursday's game against the Twins.

LeMahieu will get his first day off in nearly three weeks after he went 3-for-14 with two walks and two strikeouts across the last four games. Rougned Odor will shift to second base while Andrew Velazquez enters the lineup at shortstop.

Jung (COVID-19 protocols) was in uniform for Double-A Frisco in Wednesday's 8-0 win over Arkansas but didn't play, Chris Halicke of SI.com reports.

Though Jung has been out of action since Aug. 7, his presence in the dugout Wednesday suggests he's cleared all COVID-19 protocols and will merely need to regain conditioning before rejoining the lineup. Jung, who is hitting .307 with 10 home runs in 42 games for Frisco this season, should be ready to play by the end of the week.

Rivera is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against Houston, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Rivera finds himself on the bench for the second game in a row after previously starting 12 times in 13 games. He hit just .244/.279/.268 over that run of playing time, so he hasn't exactly earned everyday at-bats. Hunter Dozier will again start at the hot corner, with Ryan O'Hearn in right field.

Ramirez went 2-for-6 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-7 extra-innings loss to Minnesota.

The 28-year-old swatted a solo shot in the first inning and added an RBI double before scoring on a wild pitch to tie the game in the ninth. Ramirez has shown decent power and speed in August with five home runs, two triples, six doubles and three stolen bases in his last 17 contests. For the year, he's slashing .254/.338/.536 with 27 long balls, 75 RBI, 77 runs scored and 14 steals through 461 plate appearances.

Rivera isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Astros, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Rivera went 4-for-11 with two strikeouts across the last three games, and he'll get a breather Wednesday. Hunter Dozier will shift to third base while Jarrod Dyson starts in right field.

Paredes (hip) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday.

Paredes spent just under a month on the injured list with a right hip strain, but he began a rehab assignment last week. The 22-year-old went 2-for-11 with a homer, four runs, three RBI and six walks across four games with Low-A Lakeland and Triple-A Toledo, and he'll remain with the Triple-A club now that he's back to full health.

Noel was promoted to High-A Lake County on Tuesday.

It was a well-earned promotion for the infielder, who tore through Low-A with a .393/.426/.693 slash line, 11 home runs, 40 RBI, 36 runs scored and two stolen bases in 38 games. Noel will look to keep up the strong hitting at High-A for the remainder of the 2021 season.
