    Rendon went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, two total runs scored and four total RBI in a 10-5 win over Seattle on Saturday.

    Rendon contributed mightily to a big day by the Angels' offense, finishing with three hits for the first time this season. He knocked in a pair of runs with a second-inning double and later accounted for the team's final tallies with a two-run homer to left field in the fourth frame. The big game pushed Rendon's slash line to .269/.339/.423 overall. He has two homers and 10 RBI.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Launches second homer

    Candelario went 3-for-4 with a solo home run during Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Yankees.

    The 27-year-old delivered his third three-hit game of the season and went deep for the first time since April 10. Candelario has a .279/.336/.385 slash line with two home runs, five doubles, eight RBI and 11 runs through 27 games in 2021.

    Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: On bases three times

    LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs during Saturday's 6-4 win over the Tigers.

    The 32-year-old continues to serve as a strong leadoff batter for New York and notched his first stolen base of the season Saturday. LeMahieu is on a modest five-game hit streak in which he is 8-for-20 with one double, four walks and seven runs.

    Madrigal isn't starting Saturday against Cleveland.

    Madrigal had gone 4-for-7 with a double, three runs and an RBI across the last two contests. Leury Garcia will start at second base and bat ninth.

    Astudillo will be excluded from the lineup for a second straight game. Alex Kirilloff will start at first base while Luis Arraez starts in left field.

    Urshela isn't starting Saturday's game against Detroit.

    Urshela had gone 4-for-13 with a home run, four RBI and five strikeouts in the last three contests. DJ LeMahieu will start at the hot corner while Mike Ford takes over at first base.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Ropes homer in win

    Devers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-1 win over Texas.

    Devers' 105.6 mph line shot the opposite way barely cleared the wall in left field for his seventh of the season. He had earlier lined out on a ball that exited his bat at 105.5 mph. Boston manager Alex Cora said before the game that it looked like Devers was getting into a groove where he hits everything hard, Christoper Smith of MassLive.com reports. "It feels like he's going to go into one of those runs like he did in Baltimore early on that he's going to start hitting everything hard and the ball is going to start going out of the ballpark," Cora said. During the streak in Baltimore to which Cora referred, Devers went 7-for-16 with five homers and 10 RBI in three games.

    Astros' Alex Bregman: Pops fourth homer

    Bregman went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 9-2 win over the Rays.

    He took Ryan Yarbrough deep in the third inning for his fourth homer of the season, Bregman has been on a tear since returning to the lineup from his stint on the COVID-19 IL, going 13-for-38 (.342) over the last 10 games with two home runs, eight RBI and nine runs.

    Indians' Jose Ramirez: Drives in three runs

    Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 5-3 win over the White Sox.

    Ramirez got Cleveland on the board with a two-run single in the third inning. He then tacked on an insurance run with his solo shot in the eighth. The 28-year-old switch hitter now has hits in 13 of his last 14 games with five homers and 11 RBI during that span.

  • Twins' Willians Astudillo: Out of Friday's lineup

    Astudillo is not in the lineup Friday against the Royals.

    Astudillo is 8-for-31 with two homers and four RBI while starting eight of the past nine games, but he'll head to the bench Friday. Alex Kiriloff will receive the start at first base while Luis Arraez works in left field for the Twins.
