  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Knocks in team's only run

Devers went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and a strikeout in Thursday's 4-1 loss to Texas.

Devers' RBI double brought home Alex Verdugo and tied the score at 1-1. The young star is now slashing .292/.366/.562 with six homers and 20 RBI.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Cranks three-run shot

Moncada went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer in Thursday's win over Tigers in the second leg of the doubleheader.

The 25-year-old smacked a three-run home run off Alex Lange in the sixth inning. Moncada is currently slashing .272/.375/.420 as he continues to bounce back from a poor 2020 campaign.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Drives in two

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two RBI Thursday against the Rays.

Chapman was left out of the starting lineup for the second game of the team's series against the Rays, but he's gone 4-for-8 in two contests since. His performance Thursday was highlighted by his fourth-inning homer -- his fourth of the season. Overall, Chapman is hitting .184/.298/.391 with 13 RBI and nine runs scored across 104 plate appearances.

  • Blue Jays' Jordan Groshans: Heading to Double-A

Groshans will open the season with Double-A New Hampshire, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Groshans has only played 71 career professional games, none of which have come above Low-A, but he's still on track in his development even after the canceled minor-league season last year. He's unlikely to make his major-league debut this season but is on track to do so next year if he looks good in the upper minors.

  • Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA

White Sox's Nick Madrigal: Not starting matinee

Madrigal isn't in the lineup for the first game of Thursday's twin bill against the Tigers.

Madrigal was slated to sit out Wednesday's game before it was postponed, but he'll instead get a breather in Game 1 of Thursday's twin bill. Leury Garcia will start at the keystone and bat ninth.

  • Twins' Willians Astudillo: Launches second homer of 2021

Astudillo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 10-2 rout of Cleveland.

The utilityman has been consistent of late, recording one hit in six of his last seven games. Astudillo's value is aided by his propensity for putting the ball in play, as he's struck out only three times without drawing a single walk in 2021. Boasting neither an explosive bat nor an everyday spot in the lineup, Astudillo has a modest ceiling for fantasy purposes, but his contact ability always gives him a chance to make something happen at the plate when he gets the opportunity.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Twins' Josh Donaldson: Homers in blowout win

Donaldson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 10-2 victory over Cleveland.

The veteran third baseman has only two hits in his last six games, although he's walked as many times (two) as he's struck out in 21 at-bats during that span. Donaldson's average remains above .300 thanks to a hot start to the season, but his recent results have fallen well short of the lofty expectations for the talented but aging slugger. Even so, Donaldson remains a catalyst in the two-hole for Minnesota, as he went back-to-back with leadoff hitter Byron Buxton in Wednesday's contest to kickstart his team's offensive outburst.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Drives in two

Rendon went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Rangers.

Rendon stepped to the dish with runners on second and third in the first inning, and he delivered a two-run single. That was his only hit of the game as well as his first since returning from the injured list Monday. Through 50 plate appearances this season, Rendon is hitting .233/.320/.302 with one home run, five RBI and six runs scored.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Blasts three-run homer

Urshela went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Orioles.

Urshela went yard off Orioles starter Dean Kremer in the third inning. The homer was Urshela's fourth of the year, and he's added 15 RBI, eight runs scored and a stolen base in 22 games. The third baseman is slashing .278/.318/.481 through 85 plate appearances, mainly in the heart of the Yankees' order.

  • Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA

White Sox's Nick Madrigal: Sitting Wednesday

Madrigal is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Tigers.

Madrigal is hitting .351 with zero home runs, zero steals, two strikeouts and one walk over his last 10 games. Leury Garcia will start at second base and bat eighth.
