Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Twins' Josh Donaldson: Exits Saturday's game
Donaldson exited Saturday's game against the Royals after hurting himself running out a double, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
It appeared to have been a right calf injury for Donaldson, but the team figures to provide an update in the next few hours to clarify what he hurt. Nick Gordon entered the game to pinch run for Donaldson.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Not playing Saturday
Ramirez (elbow) will be sidelined for Saturday's game against the Astros, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
The 28-year-old remains on the bench while he nurses a sore left elbow. Whether Ramirez will be available as a pinch hitter is unclear, as is his status for Sunday's contest.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Raps three hits in win
Rendon went 3-for-5 with a double and a run in an 8-7 win over the Orioles on Friday.
The third baseman notched his first three-hit effort since June 1 and belted his fourth double in his past six contests. His overall .242 batting average is well below his career norm, but Rendon has been slowly picking things up, slashing .281/.369/.449 with 19 RBI since the start of June.

Tyler Freeman 3B | COL
Indians' Tyler Freeman: Placed on injured list
Freeman was placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list with a left shoulder strain Saturday.
Freeman hasn't played since June 23, and he's expected to miss a week or two while he waits for some inflammation in his shoulder to subside. As a result, it's not very surprising to see him land on the injured list so he has time to recover. The 22-year-old performed well prior to his injury and slashed .327/.377/.469 with two homers, 23 runs, 19 RBI and four stolen bases across 36 games at Double-A Akron.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Reinstated from 10-day IL
Walls (wrist) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Walls had been dealing with right wrist tendinitis since June 24, but he'll be back in action after spending the minimum of 10 days on the injured list. While the 24-year-old doesn't have as clear of a path toward playing time after Wander Franco was called up last week, Franco is able to play at multiple positions, so Walls could still see his fair share of time at shortstop. Across 18 games in June prior to his injury, he slashed .232/.338/.357 with a home run, four doubles, five RBI, four runs and three stolen bases.

Jake Burger 1B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Debuts with base hits
Burger went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's 8-2 win over the Tigers.
Burger was called up earlier in the day and made his MLB debut. He should serve as a replacement at third base for however long Yoan Moncada (hand) needs to recover. Moncada's hoping to return at some point during the three-game set in Minnesota early next week. Burger, the 2017 first-round draft pick, has overcome a slew of Achilles' tendon and heel injuries and posted a .964 OPS for Triple-A Charlotte prior to his callup.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Late scratch Friday
Ramirez was scratched from Friday's lineup against the Astros due to left elbow soreness, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
Ramirez apparently hurt his elbow while diving for a ball Thursday, and it's not yet clear whether he could be available off the bench Friday. Ernie Clement will start at third base and bat sixth.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Out as expected Friday
Moncada (hand) is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Tigers.
Moncada's absence from the lineup comes as no surprise as the club said Thursday that he's likely to miss the entire weekend series in Detroit with a bruised right hand. He'll continue to target a return to the lineup early next week for the series in Minnesota.

Jake Burger 1B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Making big-league debut Friday
Burger will be making his major-league debut Friday against the Tigers, batting eighth and playing third base.
Burger was called up from Triple-A Charlotte earlier Friday. He'll fill in for Yoan Moncada (hand) as expected Friday and should have a solid chance of manning the hot corner throughout the weekend series. Burger slashed .322/.368/.596 with 10 homers and 46 RBI across 185 plate appearances with Charlotte.

Jake Burger 1B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Joins big-league club
Burger was called up from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.
The 25-year-old will receive his first taste of the majors while Yoan Moncada deals with a bruised hand. Moncada hasn't been placed on the injured list but isn't expected to play this weekend, so Burger should see plenty of opportunities between third base and designated hitter since the scuffling Yermin Mercedes was sent to Triple-A. Burger has been impressive during his first Triple-A campaign this year, hitting .322/.368/.596 with 10 homers, 15 doubles, 36 RBI and 29 runs in 42 games.
