Manager Rocco Baldelli said after Friday's game that Donaldson's hamstring injury is considered minor, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Donaldson was a late scratch from Friday's lineup, and Baldelli said that the third baseman's hamstring tightened up just before first pitch. The 35-year-old received treatment Friday, and the team will see how he feels Saturday before determining whether he can return.

Mariners' Abraham Toro: Hot streak continues

Toro went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's 9-5 win over the Rangers.

Toro doubled and scored in the second inning and then came around to score again after singling in the third. Over the last five games, he's 7-for-16 with five extra-base hits and six runs scored. The 24-year-old infielder will carve out a prominent role in Seattle's lineup if he continues swinging the bat like this. Toro's OPS is up to .762 through 133 plate appearances this season.

Twins' Josh Donaldson: Late scratch Friday

Donaldson was scratched from Friday's lineup against the Cardinals due to right hamstring tightness, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

It's not yet clear whether Donaldson could be available off the bench Friday or whether he'll return to the lineup for Saturday's contest. Willians Astudillo will start at third base and bat fifth.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Remains out of lineup

Devers (quadriceps) isn't starting Friday's game against the Rays, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Devers was hoping he could return for Friday's series opener in Tampa Bay, but he'll be out of the lineup for at least one more game due to left quadriceps tightness. Jonathan Arauz will start at the hot corner and bat ninth.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Yankees' Gio Urshela: Battling hamstring issue

Urshela is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Marlins due to a hamstring issue, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The exact nature of the injury is unclear, but it appears to be merely a day-to-day problem. Tyler Wade will be the third baseman in his absence.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Day-to-day with triceps issue

LeMahieu will not start Friday against the Marlins while dealing with a minor triceps issue, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

The exact nature of the injury is unclear, but it doesn't appear to be more than a day-to-day problem. The recently acquired Anthony Rizzo will start at first base, with Rougned Odor at second.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Logs three hits in victory

Candelario went 3-for-4 with an RBI triple in Thursday's win over Baltimore.

Candelario had already singled twice when he drove in Eric Haase with his three-bagger in the seventh inning. It gave Candelario five hits over his last two outings and extended his hitting streak to a modest four games. The 27-year-old has been particularly useful in OBP leagues, slashing .273/.358/.411 with seven home runs and 35 RBI in 402 plate appearances on the year. Rays' Austin Shenton: Headed to Tampa Bay

Shenton was traded from the Mariners to the Rays along with JT Chargois in exchange for Diego Castillo on Thursday.

Shenton has played at both High-A Everett and Double-A Arkansas this season. Across the two levels, he's hit .300/.414/.566 in 321 plate appearances. Though he's had limited time at Double-A, his 145 wRC+ at the level is encouraging for his long-term potential .

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Out Thursday, as expected

Devers (quadriceps) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Heading into the series with Toronto, manager Alex Cora was already planning on resting Devers for Thursday's finale, and that decision was made even easier after the third baseman departed the second half of Wednesday's doubleheader with a tight left quad. Cora downplayed the injury afterward and indicated Devers would return to action Friday in Tampa Bay, but fantasy managers will want to verify as much when Boston releases its lineup for that game. Bobby Dalbec will shift over from first base to cover the hot corner in Devers' stead Thursday.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Blasts three-run bomb

Chapman went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and two additional runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Padres.

Chapman made his presence felt in the first inning with a three-run blast that set the tone for Oakland's offense. The third baseman isn't having a strong year since he's hitting only .221, but he seems to be turning things around of late. He has hit safely in all but one of his last six contests while homering twice in that span.
