Walls will sit Saturday against Seattle, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Walls hits the bench after starting 10 straight games, a stretch in which he hit just .143/.231/.286. Isaac Paredes will take over at the hot corner.

Urshela isn't starting Saturday's game against the Athletics.

Urshela will get a breather after he went 2-for-13 with two doubles, a run and an RBI over the last four games. Jose Miranda will start at the hot corner and bat fifth.

Miranda went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 win over the A's.

In his fifth career MLB game, Miranda got the Twins on the board by taking Zach Logue deep in the second inning for his first career homer. The 23-year-old also flashed his defensive chops -- with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth inning, Miranda snagged a slow chopper off the bat of Seth Brown and fired home just in time to get the force out and preserve Minnesota's lead. A third baseman by trade, Miranda has started four games at first base with Miguel Sano (knee) on the shelf, and it looks like he could remain there for a while. Just like this Twins team, he's young, scrappy and hungry, and Miranda's not throwing away his shot at proving he belongs in the majors.

Suarez went 2-for-3 with a two home runs, three RBI, three runs scored and two walks in Friday's 8-7 loss to the Rays.

Suarez got the Mariners on the board early with his two-run shot off of Matt Wisler in the first inning before tacking on a solo home run in the ninth. He's now up to six homers on the year with three over his last three appearances after snapping a 13-game drought. He's slashing .219/.318/.490 with 17 RBI through 110 plate appearances.

Lewis will still be called up by the Twins on Friday despite the fact that Carlos Correa doesn't have a broken finger, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Lewis looked to be in line for an extended run as the Twins' shortstop, as reports from Thursday indicated that Correa had fractured his right middle finger after getting hit by a pitch. A CT scan Friday revealed that Correa hadn't in fact suffered a fracture, so he'll avoid the injured list for now. Lewis should get at least a start or two until Correa's swelling goes down, but he'll be in a fight for at-bats elsewhere on the diamond once Correa is ready to go.

Burger (soreness) is starting at third base and batting seventh Friday against the Red Sox.

Burger sat out Wednesday against the Cubs while dealing with some soreness after a collision with the wall in foul territory, but he'll rejoin the lineup coming off Thursday's scheduled off day. The 26-year-old had two hits Tuesday to end a streak of three straight games without a hit.

Lewis has been called up from Triple-A St. Paul and will start at shortstop Friday against the A's, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

With Carlos Correa suffering a broken finger after getting hit by a pitch in Thursday's game, Lewis was the logical option to take over at shortstop. The Twins' No. 1 overall prospect and the first overall pick in the 2017 draft, Lewis has been one of the best stories in the minors this year, hitting .310/.427/.560 with three home runs, eight steals on nine attempts, a 15.5 BB% and an 18.4 K% in 103 plate appearances at Triple-A. He missed last year with a torn ACL and has come back better than ever at the plate. Correa will likely miss at least several weeks. If Lewis holds his own, he could remain up once Correa is activated, as he is capable of playing any position on the field.

Candelario went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's loss to the Astros.

Candelario delivered a huge hit in the top of the ninth inning, when his home run against Ryan Pressly with two outs and a runner on tied the game at 2-2. However, the Astros rallied for the win in the bottom of the frame. Candelario is starting to get going, as the third baseman is riding a five-game hitting streak. He's gone 8-for-18 in that span with two home runs, three RBI and six runs scored.

Cabbage is slashing .350/.480/.738 with eight home runs, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases over 22 games for Double-A Rocket City.

A fourth-round pick by Minnesota in the 2015 Draft, Cabbage slugged 27 homers and drove in 82 RBI between two minor-league levels in 2021 before parting ways with the Twins organization. The Angels signed him to a minor-league deal last November, and Cabbage is off to a fast start for the Trash Pandas with eight homers in just 80 at-bats. The 25-year-old was recently named the Southern League player of the month for April and is making a strong push for a promotion to Triple-A ball. It bears mentioning, however, that Cabbage has long struggled with contact issues, and that flaw hasn't disappeared this season, as he's striking out at a 35 percent rate through 100 plate appearances.

Miranda will start at first base and bat eighth Thursday against the Orioles, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Miranda will pick up his fourth straight start since his promotion from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, including his third straight at first base. Though he'll be sitting Thursday against Orioles right-hander Spenser Watkins, the lefty-hitting Luis Arraez is still expected to see steady work at first base against right-handed pitching, but the Twins could still find at-bats for Miranda by moving him to third base or deploying him as a designated hitter. Miranda will have to pick up the pace at the plate to ensure he sticks as a regular in the lineup, however, as he's off to a 1-for-13 start to his big-league career.
