    Walls was initially slated to get a day off Friday but was a late addition to the lineup after Yandy Diaz was scratched with a non-COVID illness. With Diaz back in action Saturday, Walls will get a breather a day later than expected.

    Urias was out of the lineup in the last three games due to an abdominal injury, but he appeared off the bench Friday and went 0-for-1 with a strikeout. He'll start at third base and bat cleanup during Saturday's matchup.

    Donaldson went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Friday's 10-4 win over the White Sox.

    Donaldson hit an RBI double in the second inning before going deep in the ninth off of Matt Foster. He's now collected three extra-base hits and six RBI over the last two days against the White Sox. The veteran third baseman is slashing .233/.347/.417 with 13 RBI through 29 games.

    Twins' Royce Lewis: Belts grand slam

    Lewis went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and two runs scored in Friday's 12-8 win over Cleveland.

    Lewis' first MLB homer was a 395-foot grand slam off of Bryan Shaw that capped off an eight-run fifth inning for Minnesota. The rookie infielder is hitting .320 through 25 career at-bats. If he continues to prove that he's capable at the plate, Lewis could stay on the big league roster once Carlos Correa (finger) returns.

    Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Racks up three hits Thursday

    LeMahieu went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs, an RBI and a walk in a 15-7 win over the White Sox on Thursday.

    LeMahieu began the game with a double and came around to score on a Giancarlo Stanton homer. That set the tone for the Yankees, who finished with a season-high 15 runs. LeMahieu notched his second three-hit game of the campaign and has gone 6-for-13 with six runs, four doubles and two walks over his past three contests.

    The 25-year-old was originally absent from Friday's starting nine, but Yandy Diaz was a late scratch due to an illness. Walls is 1-for-22 two walks, two runs, a stolen base and nine strikeouts in his past seven contests.

    Moncada went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Thursday's loss to the Yankees.

    Moncada took reliever Jonathan Loaisiga deep in the seventh inning for a three-run shot that temporarily tied the game 7-7. The long ball was the third baseman's first of the season and also netted his first three RBI of the campaign. This was just the third game of 2022 for Moncada, who missed the first month of the season due to an oblique injury.
