  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: On bench for afternoon game

Moncada will sit for the first half of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Royals.

Moncada finds himself on the bench for the second time in three games, though it's no surprise that he won't be asked to start twice in one day just over a week after returning from an oblique injury which cost him over a month at the start of the campaign. Josh Harrison starts at the hot corner in his absence, but Moncada will likely return for the nightcap.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Three hits including homer

Donaldson went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's win over the Orioles.

The 36-year-old launched a solo homer off Felix Bautista in the top of the ninth inning, also adding two singles and a walk earlier in the game. The long ball was Donaldson's fifth of the year and third in his last five contests. Over that stretch, he has batted .381 with seven RBI, adding a double on top of the homers. Donaldson has performed well in the early part of his first season with the Yankees, posting a .246/.358/.439 slash line with five homers and 14 RBI over 114 at-bats this season.

  • Abraham Toro 1B | BOS

Mariners' Abraham Toro: Multi-hit effort in Sunday's win

Toro went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI sacrifice fly and two runs in a win over the Mets on Sunday.

Toro's first multi-hit effort since May 8 snapped an 0-for-11 skid that had encompassed his last five games. Despite the productive afternoon, the 25-year-old still sports a .163/.226/.327 line across 32 games.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Rays' Isaac Paredes: Back in big leagues

Paredes was recalled by the Rays on Monday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Paredes joins the team with Brandon Lowe (back) hitting the injured list. He could spend some time filling in for Lowe at second base, though Vidal Brujan will start there Monday against the Tigers and may be the preferred option.

  • Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH

Orioles' Tyler Nevin: Moves into everyday role

Nevin will start at first base and bat sixth in Monday's game against the Yankees, Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Nevin will pick up his ninth straight start Monday, despite going 5-for-27 (.185 average) at the plate with a home run and a 4:8 BB:K over the previous eight contests. The rookie looked poised to handle an everyday role for Baltimore at least until the team returns Ryan Mountcastle (wrist) from the injured list.

  • Royals' Emmanuel Rivera: Powers up in win

Rivera went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, an RBI double and two total runs scored in Sunday's 8-7 win over the Rockies.

Prior to Sunday, Rivera's lone extra-base hit of the season was the pinch-hit triple he had May 11 versus the Rangers. The 25-year-old has started to compete for more playing time, though Bobby Witt is expected to see most of the time at third base and Hunter Dozier has often served as the designated hitter, blocking Rivera's two most natural paths to starts. He's slashing .240/.321/.480 with a homer, six RBI and four runs scored through 28 plate appearances.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Blasts eighth homer

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Twins.

Ramirez's fourth-inning blast briefly tied the game at 1-1, but it was all the Guardians could muster against Joe Ryan and four relievers. This was Ramirez's first homer since April 29 -- he went 12 games without a long ball. The third baseman has added a strong .290/.386/.581 slash line with 33 RBI, 20 runs scored, three stolen bases, eight doubles and two triples through 145 plate appearances.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: Out of Sunday's lineup

Miranda is not in Sunday's lineup against the Guardians.

He started six of the last seven games but will head to the bench with Luis Arraez starting at first base and Gary Sanchez starting at designated hitter. Miranda is hitting .114 in 11 games since getting the call, and it's possible he will be the odd man out when Carlos Correa (finger) comes off the injured list.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Out of Sunday's lineup

Moncada is not in Sunday's lineup against the Yankees.

He has hit safely in all five games this season and has two home runs over his last three contests. Josh Harrison will start at third base and hit ninth.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

    Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Sitting Sunday

Suarez is not in Sunday's lineup against the Mets.

Per Daniel Kramer of MLB.com, Suarez had a pretty physical slide back into second base in Saturday's game during which his head collided with Jeff McNeil's knee on a pickoff play. He might be a little banged up, but the team has not announced an injury. Abraham Toro will start at third base while Mike Ford starts at designated hitter.
