LeMahieu went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.
A day after swatting his 10th homer of the season, LeMahieu belted blast No. 11 off Zack Greinke in the fifth inning Sunday. This was the first time this season that the veteran infielder has gone deep in consecutive contests. Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Twins' Gio Urshela: Back from paternity leave
The Twins reinstated Urshela (personal) from the paternity list ahead of Monday's game against the Tigers, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Urshela spent the maximum three days away from the team while observing the birth of his child. Now that he's back with the Twins, the new father should settle back into a near-everyday role at third base as the team begins a seven-game week.

Zack Gelof 3B | ATH
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Playing again at Double-A
Gelof (shoulder) has gone 8-for-37 (.216 average) with two home runs and a 9:12 BB:K over nine games since being reinstated from Double-A Midland's 7-day injured list July 14.
Gelof was sidelined for approximately a month and a half with a torn labrum in his left shoulder before rejoining the Midland lineup shortly before the All-Star break. Since the injury was to his non-throwing shoulder, Gelof has been able to pick up starts at both second and third base upon returning from the IL. The 22-year-old is slashing .298/.371/.444 with six home runs and eight stolen bases over 229 plate appearances for Midland in 2022.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Sitting in series finale
Walls is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.
Walls will sit for the second time in three games, and his leash as the Rays' everyday shortstop could be loosening while he struggles to make a consistent impact at the dish. Unless he's deployed off the bench Sunday, Walls will finish July with a lowly .188/.296/.290 slash line over 23 games.

Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Filling in at shortstop
Garcia will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Yankees.
Garcia is picking up his fourth consecutive start, but his run of regular playing time could come to an end as soon as Bobby Witt is ready to play the field again. Witt is serving as the Royals' designated hitter Sunday in his second game back from a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury, so Garcia will get another turn at shortstop in Witt's stead.

The veteran infielder finished with his fourth three-hit performance of the month and collected multiple RBI for the first time since July 6. LeMahieu's long ball was his 10th of the campaign, giving him five straight seasons with double-digit homers -- a feat he accomplished only once over his first seven big-league campaigns.
