Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Drives in three
Miranda went 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI on Thursday against the Guardians.
Miranda accounted for all of the Twins' offensive production with a bases-loaded double in the third inning. He's had an inconsistent role in the lineup since Alex Kirilloff returned, though Miranda has started three consecutive games during which he's tallied four hits with four RBI and a run scored. Overall, Miranda is hitting .240/.275/.418 across 153 plate appearances on the season.

Abraham Toro 1B | BOS
Mariners' Abraham Toro: Pair of doubles in Wednesday's win
Toro went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs in a win over the Orioles on Wednesday.
Toro's pair of doubles pushed his tally in that category to nine on the season, a bright spot in his otherwise dismal .178/.226/.337 slash line. The 25-year-old has reached safely in five straight games, however, and nearly half (17) of his 36 hits this year have gone for extra bases.

Taylor Walls 3B | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Drives in two
Walls went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Wednesday against the Brewers.
Though it's made the infield more crowded, Walls has managed to stay in the lineup for two of three games since Wander Franco returned from the injured list. Walls delivered on the opportunity Wednesday, smacking a two-RBI double in the fourth inning. He has an ugly .167/.245/.276 line across 212 plate appearances for the season, but Walls has managed to collect at least one hit in five of his last six starts.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Twins' Gio Urshela: Smacks solo shot
Urshela went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Guardians.
Urshela went back-to-back with Alex Kirilloff in the sixth inning as the Twins tied the game at 3-3. In this four-game series against the Guardians, Urshela went 5-for-15 (.333) with a homer, two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored. He's maintained a solid .258/.310/.406 slash line with seven homers, 33 RBI, 30 runs, 13 doubles and a triple in 71 contests overall.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Two extra-base hits in twin bill
Miranda went 3-for-7 with a solo home run and a double while starting both ends of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Guardians.
Miranda started at third base for a resting Gio Urshela in the early game, then stepped in for the lefty-hitting Alex Kirilloff in the nightcap while the Twins brought southpaw Konnor Pilkington to the hill. Prior to Tuesday, Miranda hadn't started in any of the Twins' previous three contests, and the rookie may have to settle for a short-side platoon role after Jorge Polanco (back) returned from the injured list for the second game of the twin bill to create further crowding in the Minnesota infield.

Jonah Bride 3B | TEX
Athletics' Jonah Bride: Gets injection for shoulder
Bride, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, received a cortisone injection to help remove fluid from the joint of his strained right shoulder, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The cortisone shot typically takes 5-to-7 days to yield the desired effect, so Bride is unlikely to take part in baseball activities for at least one week. Manager Mark Kotsay previously expressed optimism that Bride would be sidelined for no more than two weeks after he collided in the outfield with teammate Chad Pinder in Sunday's win over the Royals, but the rookie may take slightly longer to heal than anticipated since he required the injection. Sheldon Neuse is expected to serve as the Athletics' primary third baseman while Bride is on the shelf.

Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH
Orioles' Tyler Nevin: Loses work to Jonathan Arauz
Nevin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
Nevin will take a seat for the third time in the Orioles' last four games, with all of his absences from the lineup coming against right-handed starting pitchers. The lefty-hitting Jonathan Arauz looks as though he'll receive the bulk of the starts at third base as part of a platoon at the position with Nevin.

Curtis Mead 3B | WAS
Rays' Curtis Mead: Moved up to Triple-A
The Rays promoted Mead from Double-A Montgomery to Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Australian-born Mead went 1-for-4 in his Durham debut Tuesday after receiving the promotion. A 21-year-old corner infielder, Mead has followed up a breakout 2021 campaign in the minors by slashing .305/.394/.548 with 31 extra-base hits and six stolen bases across 246 plate appearances at Montgomery.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Big game in return
Moncada went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Angels.
Moncada made his return from the injured list Tuesday and appeared in his 30th game of the season. He delivered a two-RBI double in the eighth inning, marking only his seventh extra-base hit across 118 plate appearances on the campaign. Moncada is hitting a disastrous .189/.237/.306, but he should improve those marks if he can remain on the field more consistently across the second half of the season.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Tallies three hits
Bregman went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI on Tuesday against the Mets.
Bregman was part of a four-run rally for the Astros in the first inning, delivering an RBI single and coming around to score on a three-run home run by Kyle Tucker. Bregman is hitting .412 with three homers, eight RBI and nine runs scored across his last 10 starts. He is still hitting only .242 on the season, though his .772 OPS is in line with his performance in recent campaigns.
