Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Could return in 10 days
Yankees manager Aaron Boone believes that Donaldson (hamstring) could miss only the required 10 days while on the injured list, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Donaldson was placed on the injured list Saturday with a right hamstring strain, retroactive to April 6. The infielder is already hitting and throwing per Boone, and assuming there's no setbacks, there's a good chance Donaldson is manning the hot corner again for the Yankees in the middle of April.

Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA
Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Dealing with hamstring tightness
Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Saturday that Peraza is dealing with right hamstring tightness, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Peraza wasn't called up by the Yankees when Josh Donaldson was placed on the injured list, and while it wasn't a lock he'd receive a promotion, the injury obviously played a factor. Peraza is considered day-to-day with the hamstring trouble and should be back in the lineup for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in the coming days.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Returning from suspension
Rendon is hitting fourth and playing third base Saturday against the Blue Jays, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Rendon is returning to the lineup after serving a four-game suspension stemming from an altercation with a fan on Opening Day in Oakland. Gio Urshela moves from third base to shortstop, and Brandon Drury will get a day off with Luis Rengifo playing second base.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Angels' Gio Urshela: Nabs first theft of 2023
Urshela went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run and a stolen base in Friday's loss to Toronto.
Offense was tough to come by for Los Angeles against Toronto pitching, as the team managed just three total hits. Urshela was unable to produce a base knock himself, though he helped generate a run in the fourth inning, following a walk with a stolen base and eventually coming around to score on a sacrifice bunt. The veteran has never stolen more than one base in any big-league season and had a 17th percentile sprint speed in 2022, so it's unlikely that he'll suddenly become a serious threat on the basepaths.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Moves to injured list
Donaldson was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right hamstring strain, retroactive to April 6.
Manager Aaron Boone indicated Friday that a move to the injured list was likely for Donaldson, and that transaction is now official. The veteran third baseman will be eligible to be activated April 16, though it's unclear if he's expected to be healthy by that point. DJ LeMahieu should operate as New York's primary third baseman in the meantime, but Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Oswaldo Cabrera could also be in the mix.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: One hit in return
Moncada went 1-for-5 with a run scored Friday against the Pirates.
Moncada returned from a one-game absence due to a sore foot and continued his strong start to the season. He has at least one hit in every contest that he's played and collected multiple knocks in three of seven matchups. Overall, he has 12 hits across 31 plate appearances, though he has struck out at a 32.3 percent clip.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Cracks grand slam
Paredes went 3-for-5 with a grand slam during Friday's win over Oakland.
The 24-year-old slugger ripped a grand slam against Ken Waldichuk in the second inning. Paredes had just four hits through 17 at-bats before Friday's breakout performance. He now has two homers with six RBI and a 1:5 BB:K.

Bryan Ramos 3B | BAL
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Could return next week
Ramos (groin) could return to the lineup for Double-A Birmingham next week, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Ramos is out of the lineup currently to start the year while dealing with groin soreness. The 21-year-old is rated as one of the top infield prospects in the system, and he has an outside chance of playing for the White Sox before the end of the 2023 campaign.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Back in lineup Friday
Moncada (foot) is starting at third base and batting cleanup for the White Sox in Friday's game versus the Pirates.
Moncada sat out Thursday after fouling a ball off his foot Wednesday, although it had been viewed more as a simple day of rest. He's off to a blazing start this season with a 1.302 OPS and two home runs in his first six contests.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Expected to land on IL
Donaldson (hamstring) is likely to require an injured list stint, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.
The hamstring injury which forced Donaldson from Wednesday's game against the Phillies was downplayed at the time, but he apparently hasn't made as much progress as anticipated. The team will make an official call on a potential IL move later Friday. DJ LeMahieu should be the Yanks' primary third baseman while Donaldson is out, but Oswaldo Cabrera and Isiah Kiner-Falefa are also options.
