Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Scratched from lineup
Chapman was removed from Thursday's lineup against the Tigers due to an illness.
Chapman's illness will put Santiago Espinal in to start at third base and bat eighth Thursday. Chapman should be considered day-to-day heading into Friday's matchup with the Rays.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Available off bench Thursday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said LeMahieu (quad) is available off the bench Thursday versus the Twins, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
LeMahieu is absent from the Yankees' starting lineup for a second straight day because of quad tightness, but it's clearly nothing overly serious. Oswaldo Cabrera will get the start at third base against Minnesota.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Twins' Kyle Farmer: Placed on injured list
Farmer was placed on the 10-day injured list by the Twins on Thursday with a facial injury, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Farmer underwent surgery Wednesday on his lower lip and bottom teeth after being struck by a pitch in the face versus the White Sox. He was able to avoid a fractured jaw and a concussion, so things could have been worse. It's not clear when Farmer might be back.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Sitting out Thursday
Urias is out of the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Athletics, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.
It's a routine day off after Urias had started each of the previous six contests. Gunnar Henderson is at third base and Adam Frazier is at second for Thursday's series finale.

Nick Maton DH | CHW
Tigers' Nick Maton: Goes deep again Wednesday
Maton went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 10-inning loss to the Blue Jays.
Maton went deep in the fourth inning, giving him two long balls in as many days. The 26-year-old hit a career-high five home runs last season as a depth piece with the Phillies, but it seems like he'll see a lot more playing time with the Tigers this year, so he stands a good chance of surpassing that figure.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Twins' Kyle Farmer: Has successful dental surgery
Farmer underwent successful surgery on his lower lip and bottom teeth Wednesday.
Farmer luckily avoided a fractured jaw after getting hit in the face in the fourth inning of Wednesday's 3-1 win over the White Sox. He's set to have external stitches removed in a week, making a stint on the 10-day injured list all but certain for the 32-year-old utility infielder. Kyle Garlick is a prime candidate to receive a call-up from Triple-A St. Paul to replace Farmer as a right-handed bat off the bench.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Blasts three-run homer
Bregman went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and two walks during Wednesday's victory over Pittsburgh.
Bregman has now extended his hitting streak to four games with a home run coming in each of his last two. After starting the year just 5-for-39 through his first nine games, the 29-year-old third baseman could finally be starting to heat up at the plate.
