  • Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Receives first day off

Suarez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

Suarez has started at third base or designated hitter in all 137 of Seattle's games so far this season, but he'll finally step out of the starting nine Tuesday while in the midst of a 4-for-33 slump. Jose Caballero will take over at the hot corner and bat eighth.

  • Taylor Walls SS | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Remains out of lineup

Walls (groin) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Red Sox.

Walls is a little banged up with minor groin soreness, though the Rays seem confident it's merely a day-to-day situation. He had just returned over the weekend after being out more than six weeks with an oblique strain. Vidal Brujan is getting another start at shortstop while Walls recuperates.

  • Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL

Twins' Kyle Farmer: Blasts three-run homer

Farmer went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Monday's 20-6 win over the Guardians.

Farmer slugged one of the Twins' three home runs against position player David Fry, who covered the final four innings of the contest to save the Guardians bullpen in a game Cleveland was already trailing by 10 runs when he took over in the top of the sixth. The 33-year-old utility player is now up to nine home runs on the season, with three coming in his last seven games.

  • Zack Gelof 3B | ATH

Athletics' Zack Gelof: Reaches double-digit steal mark

Gelof went 2-for-5 with a stolen base in an extra-inning loss to the Blue Jays on Monday.

Gelof's third multi-hit effort in the last four games included his 10th stolen base in the first 11 attempts of his career. The rookie's pair of knocks Monday were both singles, but Gelof has impressively laced more than half (25) of his 48 hits thus far for extra bases, making him an extremely well-rounded fantasy contributor right from the onset of his career.

  • Tyler Freeman RF | COL

Guardians' Tyler Freeman: Homers in blowout loss

Freeman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 20-6 loss to the Twins.

Freeman has homered twice over his last four games, though that's in a stretch dating back to Aug. 26. The young infielder isn't seeing steady playing time as the Guardians instead lean on veterans while trying to compete for the AL Central lead. Freeman has added nine RBI, 15 runs scored and three stolen bases while slashing .238/.306/.354 over 126 plate appearances this season.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Four hits in win

Bregman went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Monday's 13-6 win over the Rangers.

Bregman's been red hot for over a week now, going 18-for-37 (.486) with nine RBI and a 1.352 OPS in his last nine games -- Monday's four-hit effort was his sixth multi-hit performance in that span. Overall, Bregman's slash line is up to .272/.370/.451 with 22 homers, 92 RBI and 89 runs scored across 619 plate appearances on the campaign.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Lifts team to win

Henderson went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a double Monday in a 6-3 win against the Angels.

Baltimore held a narrow one-run lead when Henderson came up to bat with a pair of runners on base and two outs in the seventh inning. The young shortstop came through with a three-run blast to right field that essentially put the game away. Henderson had previously knocked a double, so he finished with his third multi-hit game through four contests in September. He's gone 6-for-19 with three extra-base hits and five RBI over that span.

  • Royce Lewis 3B | MIN

Twins' Royce Lewis: Drives in six runs

Lewis went 3-for-4 with a home run, six RBI and two runs scored in Monday's win over Cleveland.

Lewis blew things open with a grand slam in the second inning followed by a two-run single in the sixth. He's gone deep seven times in the last 12 games with three of those being grand slams. During that stretch, he's gone 16-for-50 (.320) with a whopping 22 RBI. On the season, Lewis now owns a stellar .317/.363/.545 slash line with 16 extra-base hits through 44 games.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: Registers three hits

Garcia went 3-for-4 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 12-1 victory over the White Sox.

Garcia extended his current hit streak to five games with his Labor Day effort. The Royals rookie has cemented himself as the everyday third baseman and leadoff hitter while displaying his contact and speed skills. Entering Monday, Garcia had slashed .272/.324/.326 with 11 RBI and five steals over the previous 30 days.

  • Taylor Walls SS | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Battling groin injury

Walls is absent from the Rays' lineup Monday versus the Red Sox due to a groin injury, Kristie Ackert of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Walls just returned Saturday after missing more than six weeks with an oblique strain and he lasted just two games before suffering another injury. The Rays are hopeful that he'll be able to avoid an IL stint this time around, but he'll be down for at least a day or two. Vidal Brujan is at shortstop Monday.
