  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Rays' Isaac Paredes: Clubs 16th homer

Paredes went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Sunday's 10-4 win over Atlanta.

Paredes pushed the Rays' lead to 4-0 with a two-run homer in the opening frame, which was his 16th long ball of the season and the third in his past five games. The 24-year-old enters the All-Star break with a .265/.370/.504 slash line, 14 doubles, 56 RBI and 43 runs through 80 contests.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Goes deep in win

Urias went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Sunday's 15-2 win over the Twins.

Urias has hit safely in six of seven games in July, going 8-for-27 (.296) in that span. The infielder's power has largely been absent this year -- he has just four homers in 63 contests after posting 16 long balls in 118 games a year ago. He's at a .261/.328/.396 slash line with 30 RBI, 27 runs scored, 16 doubles and three stolen bases through 229 plate appearances. Urias could have some trouble maintaining regular playing time in the second half, though he should be able to compete with Adam Frazier at second base while also mixing in at third base and shortstop.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: Sitting against righty again

Miranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Miranda is on the bench for the Twins' third straight matchup with a right-handed starting pitcher after going hitless in nine at-bats since he was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on July 2. Though he had a clear path to a regular starting role at third base after Royce Lewis (oblique) was moved to the injured list, Miranda's struggles have opened the door for the hot-hitting Donovan Solano to pick up more work at the position.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Smashes 10th homer

Donaldson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Saturday in a 6-3 win over the Cubs.

Donaldson gave the Yankees an early 2-0 lead with his solo shot in the second inning. The veteran third baseman has been the epitome of all-or-nothing at the plate this season -- of his 14 total hits, 10 have left the park. While that has given him an excellent .323 ISO, Donaldson has driven in just 15 runs and is batting a meager .146 with a .222 on-base percentage over 108 plate appearances.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Leads rookie in HRs

Jung went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Saturday's 8-3 loss to Washington.

Jung went yard in the fourth and sixth innings, but it was not nearly enough to overcome the 8-0 deficit created by starter Andrew Heaney, who left the game after three innings. The long balls were the 18th and 19th for Jung, who leads all MLB rookies in that category. He's hit safely in five of his last six contests, logging multiple hits in four of them and going 9-for-26 (.346) with five extra-base hits and six runs scored.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Sits again Saturday

Rendon (lower leg) remains on the bench for Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Rendon has been out of action since fouling a ball off his shin Tuesday against the Padres. The Angels' break starts a day early, so unless Rendon appears off the bench Saturday, he's already made his final appearance of the first half. Assuming his shin injury is nothing worse than a bruise, he should have ample time to heal by the time the Angels resume play next Friday versus the Astros.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Rays' Isaac Paredes: Out of lineup

Paredes will not start Saturday's game against Atlanta, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Pardes has swung a hot bat recently, homering four times in his last 18 games while slashing .291/.459/.564. He'll get a rest Saturday with Taylor Walls taking over at the hot corner.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Athletics' Jace Peterson: Sits against southpaw

Peterson will hit the bench against lefty James Paxton and the Red Sox on Saturday.

Peterson started against a lefty in Friday's series opener, but Brennan Bernardino was merely an opener in that contest. Peterson owns a career 52 wRC+ against southpaws, so it's no surprise to see him sit against Paxton. Aledmys Diaz will take over at the hot corner.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Knocks 19th homer

Burger went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, three RBI, two runs scored and two walks in Friday's win over St. Louis.

Burger had a perfect day at the plate highlighted by his solo shot in the fifth inning to kick-start the White Sox's offense. The 27-year-old slugger is up to 19 homers this year, though he has just three with a .588 OPS over his last 20 games. His season slash line sits at .223/.282/.528 with 32 extra-base hits and 41 RBI through 255 plate appearances.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Out again Friday

Rendon (shin) remains out of the lineup Friday.

Rendon has been sidelined since fouling a ball off his left shin Tuesday in San Diego. He's appeared in only 43 of a possible 89 games so far this season. Mike Moustakas is covering third base Friday at Dodger Stadium, while Hunter Renfroe will get the start at first base.
