Athletics' Abraham Toro: Keeps raking in Monday's loss

Toro went 3-for-4 with a double in a loss to the Rangers on Monday.

Toro authored one of two multi-hit efforts for the Athletics on the night, accomplishing the feat for the fifth time in the last six games overall. Toro has also reached safely in nine of the last 10 contests, a stretch during which he boasts a stellar .455 average, 1.197 OPS and impressively modest 13.9 percent strikeout rate.

  • Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA

Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Beginning rehab assignment

Peraza (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Tampa on Tuesday.

Peraza is finally ready to test things out in a game setting after working his way back from a right shoulder strain which he initially suffered back in late February. Given how much time he's missed, he will presumably require more than a handful of rehab games. Peraza also isn't a given to immediately be added to the big-league roster, although the status of DJ LeMahieu (foot) will be a factor.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Goes yard again

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Monday's 2-1 win over the Tigers.

Ramirez provided the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, tagging Jack Flaherty for a solo homer. Ramirez has now generated a home run in back-to-back games but is still trying to dig his way out of a slump. In his last 10 appearances, Ramirez is 5-for-35 (.143) with five RBI, five runs scored and no multi-hit games.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: Retreating to bench Monday

Miranda is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.

Miranda should be an indirect beneficiary from a playing-time standpoint while Byron Buxton (knee) is on the 10-day injured list, as Miranda had started at third base in each of the previous three games while Willi Castro moved to the outfield to help cover for Buxton's absence. However, Castro will draw the start at the hot corner Monday, opening up center field for Manuel Margot.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Tigers' Gio Urshela: May begin rehab assignment this week

Urshela (hamstring) could join Triple-A Toledo this week to begin a rehab assignment, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Urshela remained with the Tigers for Monday's series opener in Cleveland and was spotted doing some pregame running on the field in what McCosky describes as a potential final test before the third baseman is cleared for a rehab assignment. Before landing on the 10-day injured list April 20, Urshela slashed .298/.310/.333 over 58 plate appearances with the Tigers.

  • Luis Urias 2B | ATH

Mariners' Luis Urias: Another productive day Sunday

Urias went 1-for-3 with two RBI from a bases-loaded walk and a run-scoring single in a win over the Astros on Sunday.

Both of Urias' RBI were particularly noteworthy, as he displayed some timely plate discipline with the bases jammed in the second inning and then drove in the game-tying run with an eighth-inning single that plated Dylan Moore. Urias' .738 OPS belies some of his struggles at the plate, as he's still carrying a .167 average and .286 on-base percentage; however, he's also contributed 10 RBI in 20 games, the byproduct of a .444 average in 14 plate appearances with men in scoring position.

  • Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Homers in blowout win

Westburg went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 11-1 win over the Reds.

Westburg did his damage early, lifting a two-run blast in the first inning. He had gone 0-for-7 over the first two games of the weekend series in Cincinnati. The homer was his first since April 21 and his sixth of the year. The infielder has added a strong .286/.336/.513 slash line with 23 RBI, 18 runs scored, four steals, five doubles and two triples through 32 contests.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

Mariners' Josh Rojas: Another three-hit day

Rojas went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base during Sunday's 5-4 win over the Astros.

Rojas delivered his second consecutive three-hit game, falling a home run short of hitting for the cycle. On the year, Rojas is slashing .360/.442/.587 with three home runs and three steals while striking out at a 13.9 percent clip.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Two hits, including homer, in win

Devers went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

After opening the game 0-for-3, Devers singled and later came around to score in the top of the eighth inning before launching a two-run home run off Jay Jackson in the following frame. The long ball was his fourth of the season and his first in 10 games. Since returning from a bone bruise in his left knee April 24, Devers has batted .415 with two homers, seven RBI and eight runs scored over 41 at-bats in 11 contests.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Homers, swipes bag

Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Angels.

Ramirez took Griffin Canning yard in the sixth inning, getting the Guardians on the board and plating Andres Gimenez. The long ball was his sixth of the campaign, a total that trails only Josh Naylor -- who also homered Sunday -- for the team lead. He also notched his fifth stolen base, each of which have come in his last 15 games.
