  • Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Leaves game after HBP on wrist

Westburg was removed from Wednesday's game versus the Blue Jays after the fifth inning following a hit-by-pitch on the right wrist, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Westburg initially remained in the game after being struck by a 95-mile-per-hour Yerry Rodriguez fastball in the bottom of the fifth inning, scoring a run on the Jackson Holliday grand slam. However, he was then removed when the Orioles took the field for the top of the sixth, with Ramon Urias taking over at third base. Baltimore should have more on Westburg's status soon. He went 0-for-2 in three plate appearances before departing.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: Heading to bench Wednesday

Miranda is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Miranda sat out Monday's 15-2 loss after he was struck in the head by a pitch a day earlier in Detroit, but he returned to the lineup for Tuesday's 2-0 loss, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. The Twins haven't indicated that Miranda experienced any setbacks in his return to the lineup, so his absence from the starting nine Wednesday is likely just maintenance-related.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Likely moving into platoon role

Urias is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Urias had started each of the last three games at third base, but he'll likely move into the short side of a platoon in the Baltimore infield with the left-handed-hitting Jackson Holliday, who was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. Holliday should start at second base against most right-handed pitchers while he's up with the big club, while Jordan Westburg will likely replace him at the keystone against lefties to open up starts at the hot corner for Urias.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Filling short-side platoon role

LeMahieu will start at first base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

After being held out of the lineup for each of the last four games, LeMahieu will draw back into the starting nine for the series finale in Philadelphia. He'll be filling in at first base for the left-handed-hitting Ben Rice, who takes a seat while the Phillies send lefty Cristopher Sanchez to the hill. LeMahieu looks like he'll have to settle for a short-side platoon role moving forward while he's slashed just .194/.279/.255 against right-handed pitching so far this season.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Launches 24th homer

Devers went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double, an RBI single and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Mariners.

Devers got the Red Sox on the scoreboard in the third inning, tagging Luis Castillo for a three-run home run. The third baseman has been on a tear to close July, going 14-for-27 with six doubles, a triple and a homer in his last seven games. The hot streak has brought Devers' batting average above .300, and his 24 homers are tied for ninth in baseball.

  • Josh H. Smith SS | TEX

Rangers' Josh Smith: Lands at DH

Smith served as the designated hitter and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to St. Louis.

Smith moved to DH as the Rangers welcomed back third baseman Josh Jung after a long recovery from a wrist injury. Smith made the most of his opportunity filling in at third while Jung was unavailable, and manager Bruce Bochy is expected to now use Smith as the team's primary DH.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Logs hit in return

Jung went 1-for-3 in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Cardinals.

Jung made his return to the majors after missing 102 games with a wrist injury. He slotted in seventh in the batting order, which could be a temporary placement in a low-pressure slot as he acclimates to MLB pitching. When healthy and firing on all cylinders, Jung is expected to bat third, fourth or fifth.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Smacks another homer

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Tigers.

Ramirez has gone 9-for-29 (.310) with four homers and seven RBI over his last eight games. The third baseman is up to 27 long balls this season, giving him an excellent chance of reaching 30 for the third time in his career with a reasonable chance to reach 40 for the first time. He's added a .275/.329/.531 slash line with 87 RBI, 77 runs scored and 20 stolen bases through 104 contests.

  • Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL

Angels' Luis Rengifo: Logs three hits, steal in win

Rengifo went 3-for-5 with a stolen base and three runs scored in Tuesday's 10-7 win over the Rockies.

This was Rengifo's first multi-hit effort in seven games since he returned from a bout of wrist inflammation. The infielder was one of four Angels with multiple hits in Tuesday's high-scoring contest. He's up to a .306/.352/.424 slash line with 24 steals, six home runs, 30 RBI and 41 runs scored over 76 games this season.

  • Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY

Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Two more homers, five RBI

Chisholm went 3-for-6 with a pair of home runs and five RBI in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Phillies.

Chisholm has certainly made an early impression in New York -- he took Aaron Nola for a solo homer in the sixth inning before launching a three-run shot off left-hander Matt Strahm in the seventh to put the Yankees ahead 5-4. It's the second straight two-homer game for Chisholm, who's gone 6-for-15 with four round trippers and eight RBI in three games since he was traded from Miami. He's now slashing .254/.327/.436 through 446 plate appearances this year with 17 homers, 58 RBI, 51 runs scored and 23 stolen bases.
