  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Swipes two bags in win

Jung went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases in Thursday's 2-1 win over the White Sox.

Jung stole second base in the fifth inning and then swiped third base in the seventh. It was his first career game with multiple stolen bases, which is no surprise since he entered Thursday's game with only four career steals. The multi-hit game was a welcome sight, as Jung had gone 5-for-30 over his previous eight games. The 26-year-old is hitting .228 in 26 games since his return from injury late in July.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Still out Thursday

Devers (shoulder) isn't in Boston's lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays.

Devers will miss the third game in a row Thursday as he continues to recover from soreness in both of his shoulders. Nick Sogard will get the starting nod at third base in his place, while Mickey Gasper will cover second.

  • Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY

Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Homers in loss

Chisholm went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a stolen base and a walk in a loss to the Nationals on Wednesday.

Chisholm put the Yankees on the board with a second-inning solo shot, but New York scored only once more in the defeat. The long ball was Chisholm's second in his past three games and pushed his season total to a career-high 22. Chisholm has looked fine at the plate since returning from an elbow injury last Friday, going 6-for-22 (.273 average) with four extra-base hits, three runs and three RBI across six contests.

  • Royce Lewis 3B | MIN

Twins' Royce Lewis: Getting breather Wednesday

Lewis is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus Atlanta.

Lewis is going through a rare slump at the plate, having posted a .458 OPS with no home runs and a 16:2 K:BB over his last 55 plate appearances. He'll get a day off to reset. Jose Miranda will start at third base for the Twins on Wednesday.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Held out again Wednesday

Devers (shoulders) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Devers is battling soreness in both shoulders and will receive a second straight day off. Shoulder problems have plagued him off and on this season, but at this point, the Red Sox are viewing Devers as day-to-day. Romy Gonzalez will once again pick up a start at third base in Devers' stead.

  • Josh Rojas 3B | CHW

Mariners' Josh Rojas: Heading to bench Wednesday

Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

The Rays are sending right-hander Drew Rasmussen to the mound to open the game, but with lefty Tyler Alexander likely to enter the contest after him as a bulk reliever, the lefty-hitting Rojas will hit the bench. Dylan Moore will cover third base in Rojas' stead.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: Back on bench Wednesday

Garcia is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Garcia had picked up starts at either second base or third base in each of the last five games, going 6-for-19 with a home run, a double, two stolen bases and a walk during that stretch. The Royals faced left-handed starters in three of those contests, so Garcia may still be stuck in a part-time role in the Kansas City infield. With right-hander Tanner Bibee on the bump for the Guardians on Wednesday, Royals manager Matt Quatraro will go with Michael Massey at second base and Paul DeJong at third base.

  • Paul DeJong SS | NYY

Royals' Paul DeJong: Goes deep again in win

DeJong went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer and a walk in Tuesday's 6-1 victory over Cleveland.

The Kansas City infielder opened the game's scoring when he launched a 395-foot, two-run homer off Gavin Williams in the second inning for his fifth long ball with the Royals. DeJong continues to swing a sizzling bat with his new club, hitting .304 (17-for-56) with 12 RBI, 10 runs scored and 7:20 BB:K across 19 games. He is playing roughly two-thirds of the time as he splits at-bats on the infield with Maikel Garcia and Michael Massey. Overall, DeJong is slashing .239/.290/.458 in 427 plate appearances this season with the Royals and White Sox.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Homers again Tuesday

Urias went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers.

Urias supplied what would end up being the game-winning hit with a two-run blast off Jack Flaherty in the fifth inning to put the Orioles ahead 3-2. Urias has now homered in consecutive games and has totaled six RBI over his current four-game hitting streak. For the year, he's slashing .248/.319/.427 with 10 homers, 33 RBI, 30 runs, a steal and a 22:48 BB:K in 260 plate appearances.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Managing shoulder soreness

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Devers isn't in the lineup Tuesday against the Blue Jays due to soreness in his shoulders, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

The 27-year-old has been battling the issue throughout the summer, although Tuesday marks only his third time out of the starting nine since the start of June. Cora indicated Devers could be given multiple days to rest up, so he won't necessarily rejoin the lineup for Wednesday's matchup with Toronto.
