Coby Mayo 3B | BAL
Orioles' Coby Mayo: Riding pine Friday
Mayo is not in Friday's lineup against the Tigers.
The righty-hitting Mayo started two of the past three games (all against righties), but he'll head to the bench Friday with righty Beau Brieske working as the opener and lefty Brant Hurter expected to come in as the primary pitcher. Emmanuel Rivera draws the start at third base, batting eighth. Mayo is hitting .133 with a walk and six strikeouts in 15 at-bats since being a September call-up.

Jace Jung 2B | DET
Tigers' Jace Jung: Not in Friday's lineup
Jung is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Jung started the previous four games and will receive a day off after going 2-for-9 with three walks, a double and five runs during that span. Matt Vierling will shift to third base while Wenceel Perez receives a start in right field against Baltimore righty Zach Eflin.

Paul DeJong SS | NYY
Royals' Paul DeJong: Idle Friday
DeJong is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Pittsburgh.
DeJong is out of the lineup for the third time in four games, with Adam Frazier slotting in at third base Friday. Since being dealt to Kansas City, DeJong has slashed .239/.294/.467 across 30 games. However, he's gone just 3-for-19 in September.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Homers in win
Jung went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 5-4 win over Seattle.
Jung launched his seventh homer and first in eight games in the second inning to give Texas an early lead. Since returning from a thumb injury that cost him nearly four months, Jung is slashing .260/.288/.390 with five home runs, nine RBI, three steals and 13 runs scored over 38 games.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Swipes bag in fourth straight
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Cleveland's loss to the Rays on Thursday.
Ramirez singled and stole second in his first trip to the plate, giving him his fourth consecutive game with at least one steal. The third baseman would also come around to score in the frame, marking his third straight contest with a run scored. Despite having hit safely in each of his last five contests, Ramirez is batting just .222 (10-for-45) in September with one homer, two RBI, six runs and five stolen bases. Thursday's theft was his 39th of the campaign.

Ezequiel Duran SS | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Back on bench Thursday
Duran is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Seattle.
Duran has been picking up starts at a multitude of positions since Corey Seager (hip) landed on the 10-day injured list. Until Thursday, Duran had made five consecutive starts, but he went hitless in the last two games as the designated hitter. Adolis Garcia is in the lineup as the designated hitter Thursday while Josh Smith is starting at shortstop.

Lenyn Sosa 2B | TOR
White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: Seven-game hitting streak
Sosa went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Guardians.
Sosa played his part in a four-run rally in the third inning with an RBI single before also coming around to score. The performance extended his hitting streak to seven games, during which Sosa has hit .407 with two doubles, four runs scored and three RBI. He should get regular run at second base so long as Brooks Baldwin (wrist) is sidelined.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Orioles' Emmanuel Rivera: Belts homer Wednesday
Rivera went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's extra-inning loss to Boston.
Rivera put Baltimore on the board in the third inning with a solo shot to left field. He gave the team another lead with an RBI single in the 10th, but Boston emerged with the victory on a Tyler O'Neill walk-off homer in the bottom of that frame. It was a rare opportunity for Rivera to produce, as he's started just twice in the Orioles' past seven games.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Keeps running Wednesday
Ramirez went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the White Sox.
Ramirez has swiped a bag in three straight contests, giving him 38 thefts on the year. He continues to extend his career high in that area, but his chances of a 40-40 season are dwindling since he's homered just once over 10 games in September. The third baseman is sporting a .270/.329/.512 slash line with 34 homers, 106 RBI and 103 runs scored over 143 contests this season.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Hitting bench Wednesday
Miranda is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.
Miranda will hit the bench after he had started in each of the Twins' first 10 games of September while slashing .268/.268/.341. Though he's not locked into a full-time role at any one spot in the Minnesota lineup, Miranda should continue to benefit from near-everyday playing time while moving between first base, third base and designated hitter.
