Reds' Jonathan India: Expects to be fine
India (knee) said after Sunday's win over the Rockies that he expects to be fine, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
India was removed from the second game of Sunday's doubleheader after fouling a pitch off his knee in the fifth inning. However, manager David Bell said after the game that India wanted to stay in the game and was ultimately removed as a precautionary measure. The 25-year-old should be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's series opener against the Cubs.

India was removed from Sunday's game against the Rockies after fouling a pitch off his right knee, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
India fouled a pitch off his knee during the fifth inning and was unable to finish the plate appearance. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but the 25-year-old will have Monday's scheduled off day to recover before Tuesday's series opener versus the Cubs.

McNeil went 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Nationals.
With a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second inning, McNeil tallied his 50th RBI of the campaign, and he's added 57 runs in 121 games. The total is the second baseman's highest RBI count since his breakout campaign in 2019. Additionally, his two hits on the day add to a 20-game stretch in which he has hit .382 with eight extra-base hits, all of which have been doubles.

Drury (head) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Drury will take a seat for the second game in a row while he recovers from a head contusion, which stems from being hit by a pitch in Friday's 7-1 win. His absence from the lineup opens up a spot at first base for Wil Myers.

Marte is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Josh Rojas will play second base and Jake McCarthy will handle designated-hitter duties while Marte gets some maintenance in the series finale. Marte had started each of the previous six games, going 5-for-23 with four doubles, two walks, three runs and one RBI during that stretch.

Hernandez is 9-for-26 with a home run, two doubles, five walks, five RBI and six runs over his past eight games, but he'll head to the bench Sunday for the second time in Boston's past four contests. Rob Refsnyder will take over in center field and bat seventh.
